After an 11–2 start in nonconference play under first-year head coach Jai Lucas, Miami is starting to show up on the national radar.

ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi released his latest update, and the Hurricanes made a significant jump. After previously being listed among the “First Four Out,” Miami is now projected safely in the field as a No. 10 seed.

It's atleast nice to see Miami on the list given the past two seasons.
Still more work needs to be done but at least Miami is on the path.

So Fox has us not making the tournament and ESPN has us in? And ESPN projected us as a 10-seed just a week or so ago, and we haven’t lost since then. Weird.

Excited for conference play. These projections are so meaningless anyway at this point in the season-i.e., when we’ve only played one ACC game.
 
I think 12-6 in ACC and we are basically 100% in. 11-7 probably gets in, but there is some chance we get left out if our non-con opponents fall off. 10-8 would be dicey and would probably take us beating 2 of the 3 currently ranked ACC teams on our schedule, and we would have to hope that Ole Miss can at least be decent in SEC play. We also need to root for UF and BYU to make those non-con losses remain decent losses.
