Miami football and coach Mario Cristobal just received some big news. Four-star safety Tamarion Watkins from Rock Hill, South Carolina, has narrowed down his list of schools to just four, and the Hurricanes are one of them.



Watkins is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety who trimmed his list to just four on Tuesday afternoon as he narrowed down to just Miami, South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas A&M.

Jett Washington is also a 6'5 safety in '26.
 
No, him and derwin james who is 6’3”are the two tallest who are productive. Both of those guys play a hybrid style safety linebacker position and are closer to the box covering tight ends and power slots. I think that’s what James Williams should have done at the U. It would have provided more value for him playing inside backer some and covering some tight ends and power slots on passing downs. Use him like Clemson used Isaiah Simmons.
 
I almost don’t want him because UM with 6’4 200 lb safeties is shooting a low percentage.
