Miami Makes Offer For Brendan Sorsby(Commits to TT)

That 247 David Lake QB update can suck a fat one. Lake: Sorsby was top choice now we wait. That **** isn’t an update, that’s antique. Don’t understand why subscribers pay for that ****.
Lol i used to pay for the membership for gator board access. I remember when you were banned there and were let back on and your haters were like “how did you get back on?” and you’d just respond sarcastically with stuff like “Good behavior “ and they’d go cry on there. 🤣 🤣

Where in my post did I say roll with Emory. You don’t comprehend what is written my guy

Over paying for a mid QB isn’t a path to success. Sorsby is mid at best. Carson came with a pedigree and showed he won big games at big levels.

However, what my post did say was sooner or later we need to hit on a multi year high end starter from the Hs ranks so we don’t have to over pay portal guys every year.
Im not agreeing or disagreeing but just because you say he is mid, doesnt make it true. Your whole basis is predicted on you being right. What if sorsby is good? Then what?

Never saw him play, so I don't have an opinion good or bad about him.

But some people here acting like TT is wake forest lol. They reached the final 8, have a ton of money to burn and a good coach. Most importantly, they are head and shoulders above anyone on the Big 12, almost a garanteed playoff berth. They will also putting some players in the leaguye in april. They will be a problem for a while
They looked completely overmatched against Oregon, I get trying to buy a portal championship but they need to recruit HS better

I don't disagree at all, but they're on year one of their program. HS kids will help them 2–3 years down the line, and they’re still competing with Texas, aTm, OU, and others raiding the same HS talent. People forget IU looked overmatched last year, the 10 point loss to ND doesn't tell the whole story of that game
Maybe they flame out, but the prisoner of the moment takes going on here are shortsighted to me

He’s had years to prove he is good….has he proved he is good?

What has he done besides being the best available QB is a very mediocre QB portal pool?

Had some decent games this year against bad teams and had some really bad games too.

However it doesn’t really matter. He’s off to Lubbock so F him too

What cignetti is doing at Indiana is legendary, I suspect he won’t be there much longer

the brother just signed an 8 year extension giving him 11.6m a year. Where the **** is he going to go except for the pros?
I think the buy out is still manageable but why would he ever want to leave IU? Top conference with big money and less pressure (they've probably already started to build him a statue) compared to other blue bloods.

Unless the money support change, and I don't think it will, he has no reason to leave.

Welcome to the new era of CFB.

They signed a nearly identical high school class to Miami (more five-stars) and already have two Top 40 kids committed for 2027. The high school recruiting is just revving up the engines but they are going to be a problem on the trail.

Plus he will be 65 when the season kicks off. I realize that's not the age to plant him in the dirt, but it's also significantly older than the average college football coach. Again, I know Pete Carroll took a job in his 70's as did Belichick. Those are outliers. I think Cignetti sticks in Bloomington for another 10-15 years, retires, gets his statue, works tv gigs for a bit, then croaks.

First it was $5-7M, now it's "around" $5M, which means it's under 5. That's agents (or players/family) pushing the fake number up to make them look more valuable bc of ego, and for the agents, keep future negotiations in the direction that favors them.
Remeber the Duke guy
4 million lol
It's all BS

He'd be foolish to leave. He's competing for natties, he's in the number one conference, they upped his pay, he's revered as a not-so-minor deity in Indiana... He's bought so much good will and leash there, he would have to have 3 losing seasons in a row for his seat to become lukewarm.

He should stay and I think it's good for CFB for him to be there.

Absolute golden at a perennial Big Ten basement dweller program, in each of the two years hes there he made CFP and won a B10 title. And he just set his roster up for a 3rd run next year before the semifinals.

cig could have had any job he wanted this year, but chose to re-up with IU. Maybe if DeBoer is fired at Bama he would jump…i know he is from Sabans coaching tree

As the saying goes, "Don't be the guy replacing a legend, be the guy replacing the guy that replaced a legend"

lol. Thanks I’m 66.

LSU is all ‘known unknowns’ and Ole Miss has pure certainties is what i disputed. No big deal bruh.

This is what I actually said...
Let's say Trinidad gets another year of eligibility and decides to return; why would he leave the success and what he knows at Ole Miss for the unknown of LSU?

You exaggerate my relative statement to extremes of "all 'known unknowns'" and "pure certainties", then use your own words as basis to dispute something I didn't say.

Words are the primary means of communication on this site; they matter.
