"He's kind of made-to-order for what
Mario Cristobal and
Alex Mirabal want to do up front," Ivins said. "A big, downhill tackle that really shines as a drive blocker at this stage. We had him verified at over 6-foot-5, 325 pounds last summer, and he has done a really nice job of reshaping the body.
"After spending much of his sophomore year at right tackle, he worked on the left side as a junior for a Gainesville squad that played for a state title and showed noticeable growth as a player. There's still plenty of work left to do as he has to keep progressing as a pass protector, but I think what's notable is the fact that he just turned 17 years old, meaning that he could technically be in the class of 2028, and he's at a high school that's foundation is built in the weight room."
