Miami lands commitment from 2027 OT Tyler Ford

With Mario and Alex here, in their 4 seasons, they’ve put out 3 lines that were one of the 10 best in America.

Bring me Mark Matthews (who will be a Cane, put it in ******* sharpie outlined in blood, for anyone who’s scared) and let’s get to work on a 4th, 5th, and 6th in the next 3 seasons.

This is quite literally what they do.

Still can’t believe there head coach left to jump on the Colorado titanic. I know they like Linton but wonder if he gets pushed out eventually.
Certainly other programs are doing the math and hoping we do. NC State, Virginia Tech and WVU have all offered this year.

I’m not sure we do though. The benefit of Linton, Tatum and Ford is that they can all theoretically play all 5 positions which is exactly what Mario & Mirabal want. It looks like mirabal has already communicated to palm beach central’s coaches because Linton’s junior film has him playing all over the line.

We have been pretty disciplined on who we have taken as commits since 2025. Last cycle (‘26) our only decommits were: Ksani Jiles, Anthony Kennedy, and Kenton Dopson. Dopson reclassified and flipped to UNC to get early PT. Ksani decommitted in Feb 2024; he’s an IMG DB who committed in may 2023 after his freshman season. Kennedy was the only guy we dropped so late in the process.

The cycle prior, as far as oline goes, Lamar Williams and Takaylen Muex were taken and dropped within months of each other while Linton is still on board; has been for longer than both of those guys were committed combined.

I remember thinking Tyson Bacon would get pushed out after we flipped four defensive linemen in-season. So I wouldn’t count on it Unless he really falls off his senior year.

This is interesting; went down a rabbit hole lol. So apparently his brother was his OC & his brother, albeit not him, was actually an alum of the HS.

Interestingly enough he turned down the job when it was offered to him while he was at Hoover. The AD called him back up and persuaded him to take it.

As far as why he left Gainesville GA, I’d venture it’s because his brother got his own HC job and he found a place to left him be him all-out.

Sure winning head coaches can get college offers but it’s a big change of pace and loss of control. Roger Harriot, before that FAU RB coach job, took a similar job at Syracuse before backing out last moment. Ended up returning to HS football post FAU anyways.

Even Jeremy Pruitt and Jason Taylor didn’t jump into controlling their own room on day 1.

Not a lot of college programs letting the TEs coach introduce himself with a cowboy hat on lol. (Timestamp 7:45)

He's got feet you can't teach. Already has had some coaching as he has independent hand usage and uses that length to even feint the rusher or control the distance.

He's a little upright at times and allows defenders to get under him. Several of those reps had areas to improve.

That grip strength, nastiness, and finish will go a long way towards getting him on the field. He'd make a great LG, but could also play OT if they decide to develop him that way. Work on getting those hips hinged and getting cleaner with that inside jab hand.

I've never evaluated a HS OL that it doesn't sound like I'm just eviscerating them, but that's because it's a technical position and they all have things to work on. I'm a real big fan of this one. If your HS tape doesn't show you putting guys in the dirt, you absolutely cannot play for me.

Think they’d still take Jatori, but aside from that, probably. I’d say this takes Sam Epelle out of the picture. This kid looks pretty ******* good though. No ?’s about his on field demeanor or ability to play like his size.

*Much closer to Anez than that kid from a couple cycles ago that we ended up dropping.
Well there is always +1s, its just probably not that realistic. I think they also really like Reed Ramsier and Reis Russell. I actually think if we add a 5th guy (assuming we do land Mathews), then it'll probably be a lower rated developmental OT specific body type. Cause I think it's entirely possible Congdon and/or Ervin end up at OG. If that happens with this haul we'd have Cantwell, Mathews, Hawks, and Linton as the likely pure OT recruits...

Like Even this 4 person haul would bring us to 11 total HS+JUCO recruits the past 2 years on the OLine. That's a lot. And 13 if you include portal with Meriweather and Cline

26:
Cantwell 99.89
Congdon 92.88
Ervin 90.26
Pickett 87.56
Woodrow 87.33
Sparks 87.33
Hawks 86.00

27 (our lower rated Guys I'd 100% bet receive large bumps by the end):
Mathews 99.85
Tatum 93.09
Ford 87.50
Linton 85.50

This is a very good GA HS to make inroads into.
big fella currently protecting a 4* Top 200 Clemson QB commit and a 4* Top 200 RB prospect w/ OVs to Mich, OSU, Bama and LSU.

w/ 3 others in this '27 class likely going P5. Pretty good addition to our continued expansion into Jawja. Taking back our state is cool, expanding into Kirby puss ***'s territory?

thats how you fckin shoot playboy @mariocristobal.

He ain't gonna play guard in all likelihood. It'll take several years to really develop the kid. I'd imagine by that point jackson is ready to move to the league. Maybe he plays guard I suppose. But if so it'll only be because mathews and cantwell are staples at tackle.
He is a guard all day.

How many teams, NCAA or NFL, will have a bigger O-Line than us? Cant be many out there if at all.
