He's a tweener, he's also not a burner, but he has speed. just my opinion. Also, his competition may not be the best out there in KansasWithout trying to sound like a hater, because this kid looks physically impressive, why aren't more legit teams after him?
And gone call for his nil to be pulled if he isn’t a all American by year 2Like clockwork we have guys in here trying to tear down a top 150, 4 star DB who is 6’3-200 and runs fast. Miserable mofos man![]()
The Miami Hurricanes have landed an elite secondary piece, securing the commitment of 2026 DB JJ Dunnigan.
The top-100 player was committed to Kansas originally, before decommitting just a few weeks ago as Miami shot up right to the top of his list.
At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Dunnigan is an extremely instinctive safety who flies around the field making plays.
He’s got plus range and pairs his track speed with physicality down field, seeking contact.
In addition, Dunnigan is extremely versatile. He’s played across multiple positions in the secondary quite well and is able to slot in wherever he’s needed.
Miami beat out the likes of Colorado among others for Dunnigan, and will look to hopefully pair him with another safety in the 2026 class.
Dunnigan becomes the 26th commit in Miami’s growing 2026 class, joining the likes of Camdin Portis, Jaelen Waters, Brody Jennings, Jontavius Wyman and Cortez Redding in the secondary room.
Expect more names to land soon.
I was wondering the same, he seems lightly recruited for a top 100 player, but I aint tryna sound like a haterWithout trying to sound like a hater, because this kid looks physically impressive, why aren't more legit teams after him?
Not that I am some sort of exceptional judge of high school talent from Kansas, but if he is a legit 6'3 and 200 pounds, that isn't a tweener, right? Asking honestly. He's a tweener, he's also not a burner, but he has speed. just my opinion. Also, his competition may not be the best out there in Kansas
Could be a little stiff for man corner, but not quite physical enough for safetyNot that I am some sort of exceptional judge of high school talent from Kansas, but if he is a legit 6'3 and 200 pounds, that isn't a tweener, right? Asking honestly.
That’s even better if he is moved to saftey .Not that I am some sort of exceptional judge of high school talent from Kansas, but if he is a legit 6'3 and 200 pounds, that isn't a tweener, right? Asking honestly.
anyway, both the teams he lost to are not even top 25 in recruiting...this is why mc won't be fired any time soon ...
Ran a 10.94 as a sophomore. Final 3 of Colorado, Miami & Michigan. Fits Hetherman’s defense perfectly in the Jakobe Thomas role imo. Good get
As long as he is cheap, it wont matter IMO. Tuck him away and develop him cheap and see what we have in year 3.Without trying to sound like a hater, because this kid looks physically impressive, why aren't more legit teams after him?
Could’ve just said welcome to the U but u come in the thread with this bull**** smhA KState legacy from the same city that KState is in and they never really pursued? But hey, it’s a “top100” commit!
Garden City was all over him.Without trying to sound like a hater, because this kid looks physically impressive, why aren't more legit teams after him?
maybe - the way south florida kids always do us - he communicated wanting to go away to college. He was committed to Kansas? You guys have been here long enough to understand offers and actual pursuit are not the same. Check the visits, KState, the college in his own back yard and college his dad went to, did not pursue him.
