Miami is the best team I’ve seen this season

Full disclosure, this doesn’t mean anything. It’s mid-September. And we looked **** good through 4 games last year, too.

But all we have to go on is the evidence we’ve been given so far.

And from what I’ve seen, there isn’t a better team in the country than Miami. I’ll wait for the next 3 weeks (2 games) to go FULL Kool-Aid, but there’s really no reason to temper expectations here. Will we win a national championship? Obviously that’s a tough ask, last I checked there’s only 1 team left standing at the end of the season. But some quick thoughts on other teams who should be in the conversation:

Oregon - just eye-test wise, this is probably the 2nd best team I’ve seen. They’re loaded and Moore looks like the goods. But they have played literally no one (Montana State, OK State, Northwestern). They play in Happy Valley in 2 weeks.

LSU - great win at Clemson, but Clemson is now 1-2. They beat Florida, but were outgained and largely unimpressive on offense. The defense is salty, though.

UGA - credit for winning, but were largely outplayed in Knoxville. Less than a 30% postgame win expectancy.

Taint - slogged through a win versus Texas. Obviously super talented but looked very pedestrian this week against Ohio.

Texas — Arch is Preston Dewey

GT - Cool story, I pray we get them in Charlotte

FSU - holler at me in 2 weeks

Miami has a QB who is a co-favorite for the Heisman. WRs making highlight reel catch after highlight reel catch. The best OL in America. The best defensive player in America. A true stable of depth at corner. I just don’t see any holes here. This is a complete roster with excellent coaching. Shannon Dawson is the preeminent kingmaker at QB in college football. You wanna go 1.1? Just come to Miami. Heatherman has his side playing fast and violent.

Again, I’ll be back after the next 2 games. But for my money, at this point, give me the Canes over anyone in the country.

What's wrong with Texas. Blowing hot and cold under Arch. The kid needs work.

Now....perhaps he needs to transfer to a school with an inventive OC who knows how to bring out the best in a QB.

aTm wasn't half bad up at South Bend.

They showed grit and fight. They way Elko shouted at his Defense for giving up points to the Little Irishmen gave me Jimmy vibes.

Yeah I cut it off before talking A&M and Ped State.

A&M has meh games against Utah State and UTSA.

Penn State has played 3 high school teams.

A&M put themselves in a position to win but that no call on the hold had me chuckling considering everything the officials did to keep ND in the game against us.

Agree

Psu can’t be taken seriously with Allar at QB.

Stockton looked good but Georgia defense looks average.

Didn’t get eyes on Ohio state. It’s early and my guess is that is a team you won’t want to face in December/jan.

Oregon looks good. Moore to Moore is a dangerous combo and the defense looks loaded.

Oklahoma looked good but temple is temple, despite their hot start.

8&4 actually has some weapons at WR. They could be dangerous.

Miami is the best team. Beck has all day back there and he will pick you apart. Fletcher is a grown man. Bain is a top 5 pick. We ******.

We've got a few things to clean up, but so does the rest of the top 5.
We belong in that top tier.

I'll add that we have the talent and experience at the most important position on the field.
The rest of the top-tier teams do not.

Penn State has looked terrible. They’ll lose their 1 or 2 big games, win everything else but still get one of the 4-6 auto bids into the CFP which is the joke of the system. Same with ND. They’ll get a ranked win against a Navy or some other G5 school and point to that and a 10-2 record to get in.

LSU should be concerned that they could only put up 20 points on the Gators in their own House in a critical matchup.

C'mon now!

If we don't put up at least 35 points on those Clydes, especially with Gameday in town, you can just Shut the Program down.

What offenses have they played so far? Florida? Clemson?

I agree, and that’s why I’m saying Miami is the most complete, overall team I’ve seen. But it’s week 3, we can poke holes in all these resumes. ****, we do that in week 14.

LSU has a ton of athletes and Kelly is a good coach. For my money, through 3 weeks, they’re probably the #3ish team I’ve seen.

You ain't lying. Them SEC teams can be had. UGA and TAMU have issues on defense. LSU has issues on offense. Texas has an Arch problem that isn't going away. Saying is a solid QB but he's also young. How will be perform in close big games when the other QB isn't throwing the ball into the dirt. Texas beats them with a real QB. Oregon always finds a way to blow it.

Why not us?
