Miami is not recruiting JC Jackson

What I read is Mike Rumph is communicating with the kid. If Miami is smart they're talking with the Coffeyville coaches and watching him academically. As for whether he is a good kid or bad kid, he went to trial and was found not guilty. If you read the case, the jury deliberation was very short. My opinion is if the Coffeyville coaches say he was a model citizen and he is on track to graduate in May, then you offer the kid.

Exactly. I'm not buying any of this " baggage" BS. Jackson was found NOT GUILTY by a jury of his peers in accordance with our laws period end of story. He was never proven guilty. He was acquitted. There is nothing else to discuss unless there are tons of red flags in his past and I'm not aware of any. JC Jackson is a Take! We would be absolute fools not to pursue him unless as has been stated before, that Richt feels the kid is playing us and TRob has him locked up.

UM is waiting to see if he even qualifies before starting the process is how I see it. This story is not over by any means. Its just beginning.

Only way this makes sense to me (which it doesn't) would be that we are confident that we are going to bring in 4-5 top caliber CBs in '17 and JC could scare off kids.

I would hope this is not the case. The ability to recruit when you already have quality players on your roster is the hallmark of a great program.

No other way to see it.

I don't see any reports disputing the claim that Rumph is talking with him, and the ONLY reason that would be happening is to gauge interest.

When Pete explains the conversations with Rumph as unrelated to recruiting, then maybe it is time to move on.

Lol love ya Pete but he isn't confirming your post at best he confirmed there's no offer but it sounds like they want JC but could be tough to bring him in

If they dont think JC is going to qualify that is one thing..but if I find out that they just turned their back on him because he isnt needed?..............................................................That would be yet another head scratcher in the Richt Era. Not a strike but a head scratcher. (to go along with letting James Wiggins walk and not showing Manny Greene any love yet.)

UM probably told Pete we're not recruiting JC so he'd publicize it and scare off other potential suitors.

Make JC look like damaged goods to keep everyone else off him. If it gets too public that UM is willing to take JC, then other schools will start thinking, "If UM is willing to take him, then why aren't we?".

No big deal...if he comes, cool....if not, we will be fine....

Say this to yourself out loud and then read your post again..Our 3rd corner as of today could very well be Michael Jackson. (not down on the kid but he isnt ready for primetime and thats where we need to be headed this year)

While your second Corner is Sheldrick Redwine, who looked good on ST's and looks promising, but if he's your 2nd guy, you may have an issue

You've said that multiple times in this thread as if you're trying to convince yourself that's actually true. It's not.

Coming off the worst three-year CB recruiting stretch imaginable, the importance of adding a premier talent like Jackson to plug and play can't be understated. Not just for this season, but also for 2017. We have a very good senior corner (Elder), a possibly decent boundary CB (Redwine), several Golden specials, and a talented true freshman (Young). That's it.

We are extremely depleted at CB talent-wise. We're one injury to Elder or Redwine away from Ryan f***ing Mayes likely seeing the field. Jackson would be an absolutely enormous addition.
