Yeah, but does he know how to make and eat the perfect sandwich? Manny scored two big hits with OC and Martell and brought a smile to my miserable face. Now he needs to score Hurts to start this season off with a bang. Rosier showed tha a running QB at Miami can do good things. Hurts can take us to coastal and worry Clemson. If Martell can’t play this year we are still without a QB. Great week Manny, keep it up.
 
Incredible sequence of events after our program outlook for the future looked bleak after the bowl game and the army game flop on January 5th

Don’t get too down on the knuckleheads we already have on staff. None of them have received any coaching at all since high school.

Or from the last three staffs. I’m hoping Manny upgrades his defensive staff too. We were 7-6, offense was nonexistent but defense was far from perfect. Ugly girls eventually look good when no hot ones are around. I like what he did on offense but the DC hire is not on the same level, nor the S&C pick. Still the last few days have been best one since before lickoff on the 2017 Pitt game.

The D def had its WTF momsnts, but overall I think manny did a **** good job... especially considering the O and ST they had to play with. That D had to defend a short field drive after 3 and out drive. With mostly golden recruits.

Each year manny identified an issue and fixed it, and pretty consistently made in game adjustments that worked.

So all things considered, I’m good with the defensive staff schematically. And manny has hired good teachers, who’ve developed guys,while he’s been here. So I’m good w the DC... till I’m not. recruiting OTH I guess could be better.

I don’t disagree with any specifics but al and mark have left me against the slightest hint of face book friend hires. I’ve always like accumulated talent on staff in lieu of getting along. Then again I don’t have many friends.

Yea.. I get the family and friends thing. I think tho that manny and the dc had a professional relationship... not like a golden/Dno who were obviously in a 25 year long closeted love affair.

You’re right tho about pulling in outside perspectives, maybe this guy has been away from manny long enough to have grown. I dunno. U may be right.

The one thing I want to see be central to everything on defense is speed. We haven’t look fast since Randy. It was speed that enabled all the aggressive attacking penetration of our old defenses. They could gamble because they had recovery speed to limit a 60 yard play to 20. Then they would line up again. S&C needs the same thing. Speed above all.

Interesting turn since the Kendall Briles to FSU hire was announced. Think we were about rock bottom at that point.
 
I really was down about next year even though we were opening up with Florida... had zero faith we could pull that out..

But Im really thinking this is a 10/11 win team with nice wins against UF and FSU topped off with a Coastal championship... We might not be ready for Clemson but lets make it close and win our **** NY6 bowl
 
ok i'm at the line now getting ready to put like three toes over in favor of the Diaz hire.I'm not going to jump completely to the other side until all this translates to beating Duke,UVA and BC.

right now it's great to be a MIAMI HURRICANE.

ok FCK IT !! i'm putting a whole foot over cause I am pretty pumped up.
