D.Cook was lights out till midway thru first game he blew out a knee, recovery takes a while
Freeman is very tough for Falcons but at the moment is constantly nicked up
2 S.Fla players .....sad commentary on program

I’ll prob get negged for this and the “I want to play everyone at 100%” crowd but I sure hope Louisville pounds them into the ground and leaves them with no confidence. Let them come into Hard Rock with no confidence and a beaten up roster.
 
The thing that should give us the most confidence is that our strength matches up very well with their weakness.
Their OL is going to get Frenchie killed by our Front 7. Blackman Ethiopian may have to play. (And then he may get killed too.)

Louisville is horrible....doubt they pound the Noles.
 
We are far from being elite but FSU is even further from being average. If this was any other ACC team coming into this game with their resume we'd all be predicting a 28+ point win.

35-10 sounds about right. They will keep it within 7-10 in the first half and pack it in in the third quarter. This will be a Donnybrook akin to the VT and ND games last year.

Not only that, but it's a dangerous transition from playing North Carolina to Florida State a week later. There are fools in this thread equating the two teams and expecting the same result.

Florida State's defensive front is markedly superior and more physical than North Carolina. Perry in his first start got to stand there with a running game working on demand and with a passive defense playing 8-10 yards off the wide outs and seldom varying a thing.

None of that will translate to facing Florida State. Perry is going to be facing long yardage and pressure throws in traffic. I'm not saying he can't pull it off but anyone who understands situational impact realizes how stunning it is going to be for a freshman who has faced FIU and a pathetic North Carolina team to suddenly be out there against a frenzied Florida State team desperate to save its season.

We need to wreck Florida State's sideways offense and create turnovers and field position, taking the pressure off Perry.

Only way the semenhoes keep this close is if Miami comes in overconfident and doesn't take care of business during the week. And I'm referring to the players and coaches. Other than that, I don't see how else they don't lose by 3 TD's or more.

Uh, did you watch the LSU game? Team was totally and completely unprepared. Not the first time it's happened to a MR coached team. This game is a measuring stick for MR as much as it is for Willie.
 
Last time we blew them out was 2001 I believe. Unless you count the 8 point win in 2007. I expect a dog fight. At least for the first half.

To be fair we were awful for a decade plus during that time. They look like us year 1 under Randy (maybe worse) Just a bad football team with **** poor coaching.
