This is reminding me a bit of 1996.Beating up on little league teams won't cut it against this Miami squad. That's all I have to say about that for now.
This is reminding me a bit of 1996.
(W) 33-7 Memphis
(W) 52-6 Citadel
(W) 33-0 Rutgers
(W) 45-0 Pittsburgh
This was one of the best starts in Miami history from a points scored, points allowed perspective.
Then a 4-0 FSU came into the Orange Bowl. We were ranked 6th. They were 3rd.
They beat us 34-16.
Poyser played very well last night.Scott and Thomas are going to be the difference against FSU and why we will win the game. Those 2 are playing at such a high level.
I'm saying that FSU is 1996 Miami in this scenario. Puffed up with dominating wins over low level opponents, ranked, and then a much more powerful team comes in to play them at home.
Our guys haven't played on the road and you would have thought we were playing in the loudest stadium in America the way he had the yips. Its a little concerning for our first road game. It's all about who executes better on 10/4.
I like our RBs and Defense on the road, but the pre-snap penalties on 52 were unacceptable. The moments will only get bigger from here on out and he needs to be mentally prepared.
