Miami is about to make a power move

Figured it out... Danny Boy cane. I knew he had to show up again. And people thought he got eaten by a bear. I knew he survived. Lol

This may be nice in the short term, but my one concern about using this strategy of hiring guys connected to certain high schools to help land a batch of recruits is pretty soon every local school that has prospects we are interested in will have personnel who want a job on the UM staff. How many "recruiting coordinators" can we have? Maybe my concern is unfounded. I'll give Richt credit for working hard to re-establish our brand on S. Fla. And once we start winning stuff like this won't be needed as much.

You should go ahead and take a look at Bama's staff then.

And Michigan's Harbaugh did the same thing with Partridge to get Gary

That's the rub. We can't spend with them. But doing it some is probably necessary in this day and age. And I think when Richt can sell winning at UM, it really won't be as necessary. But I'm not so naive as to think it will go away either. And it shouldn't. It's a good way to be more deeply rooted in the community. I'm njust saying it may not all be roses either.

NCAA basketball powerhouses have been doing this for a while now. I am all for it. We need to work erry angle in recruiting if we are gonna compete for national championships. Cooney will make a difference in getting those croots to stay home. The State of Miami is on the map again.

It's terrible for the game, but when a team ups the stakes you have to play the game. If I'm UM I hire every local guy with recruiting juice to the support staff. Shut this **** down completely on the local level.

As Pete said, "adapt or die." Stay above the fray, and you will watch the steady outflow of talent.
