He's repeating Richt's mistakes which, to me, is the most disappointing part of this mess. He SHOULD know better, and conceivably did by selecting Baker over Banda and Patke. But at this stage I say bring on Banda. Dude can't be much worse.

Thing is, Manny knows it. He just doesn’t know why or what to do about it. Neither do I.

we hired a fired burnout perennial underachiever and his DC who gets raped by any good OC/QB combo.
we also hire coaches with no real respect in the coaching community so they cant get top notch staff.

whos he hiring? hes not that respected in coaching circles. its not like butch who can come in wit hschiano or mario who could have come in with leavitt

He has no network to look for. Unless you throw a truck load of $$ to a whole coordinator set he is stuck

Someone with more experience at the very least. And what he lacks in respect could be augmented with money. The BOT and AD were willing to spend but he hand-picked Baker. I want the dude to have the ability to grow as a head coach, but if this is what his defense has come to he should have kept running it himself and let Enos (a former HC) handle the offense. Manny isn't being real if he thinks he has more value to this team as a HC than a defensive coordinator/HC.
