Live Miami Hurricanes @ Wake Forest Demon Deacons 9/18/2026

I agree wirh you, but this a middle of the park ACC team. Right now, there's 3-4 ACC teams that could beat us if the game falls their way, which they always do in losses.

If we had ranked opponents on the schedule early, we would not be so optimistic. We're fortunate we have time, but we can all see the holes. Other teams see them as well, but few can exploit them.
I’ll believe it when a team keeps’em close, for now it’s blowout city and right now this game included

So you are saying that none of these guys will get better as the season progresses and stay just like they are now. Cus that never happens with young inexperienced players. Understood
Have you seen SJ? It’s laughably bad… he’s not just getting tricked with stunts he’s getting blown up off his spot. He’s not gaining 15 pounds or muscle or a few more inches in a few more weeks of games

He’s a center who reportedly can’t snap… he needs to sit for the rest of the season and snap until his hands bleed and take over next year at his natural position

We’ve been seeing QBs get rid of the ball quick because we’ve been playing such soft zone coverage they know they just need receiver to get 3-5 yards and sit and it’s a completion

We saw it with Stanford as well… TE was killing us not because he’s kelce or gates 2.0 it’s because they were smart enough to run a few yards turnaround and get an easy grab…. It took two first round DEs to get there in less than 2 seconds. But if you remember this is what killed us against SMU lashlee was running this same quick hitter attack
Miami adjusts always. They’ve had zero first downs since first drive.

One can argue last year's OL was the best in program history. Even with this line not being a historic collection of talent, Miami is averaging 5.8 yards per carry, on the road, against a team that creates havoc through their alignments and movement. Keep in mind, Wake's entire defensive philosophy is centered around eliminating explosives by keeping everything in front of them. That means they are going to be a little more passive, that means these drives are going to be methodical.
I'll sum this up if you are worried about this game, just sit the season out

I’d like to know what SJ does during practice that is trumping what we think we are seeing during games.
familiarity ... when he doesn't know the dt's game ... you get what you see ... he hasn't been all bad ... we just need better to get where we want to go
Might be, but what we see today, which is not great by any means is not what we should see by end of the year. Some of the mistakes I have seen today has been more miscommunication more than anything else. Which if history is an indicator, should improve with more in game experience

Think this is why we didn't see Cantwell in the first.

OL seems fine to me. They have excelled in the run game when we pull from the interior and run stretch zone. More outside runs than last year. Pass blocking has been really good. Don't even notice McCoy out there (which is a good thing). Samson let the twist get leverage on him twice to the outside on pass plays, but that's really nitpicking. There have been some stinker reps from all 3 of the interior guys, but **** happens - we ran 39 plays or something in the first half. We're running the ball effectively and protecting the QB.

If mensah ain’t 1.1 in the draft, someone with a qb made a move for Jeremiah smith, or it’ll be the titans; who will be making the power move of drafting Brandon Inniss
I am lowkey hoping Titans end up with 1.2 so Mensah goes 1.1 and Titans take Manning at 1.2 and trade Cam to a better franchise.
