2021 Blue Chip Quantity: Highest since before 2007
2021 Roster Size: At roster limit for the first time since 2008, above 80 for the first time since 2015
2021 Attrition: Smallest since 2015
Nice! Over 50% BC ratio and at full scholarship amount since forever. If we only had a real coach, we could really make some noise this year! But will Lisp and slide it away like every year. Smh

Is there a way to measure coaching talent composition ?
Maybe by years of experience and how our staff stacks up to other top programs

A couple things that stood out when I was updating this list last night.

1) We should look at the experience of the blue chippers. A third year blue chipper (if he lives up to his rating) is worth far more than a first or second year player.

2) Concentration of blue chippers in positions, or lack thereof. Linebacker for instance has two four stars, all others are three stars. Wide receiver is almost all four star players. Quarterback is all four star players except Peyton, but only one of those blue chippers sees the field.

Offensive line is a veritable army now.

the Former Walk On's that got scholly's last year......Parrott, Few, ***undo, Griffith, Scibelli, Burrows, Price.

Why are you so obsessed with walk-ons and scholarships?

This has, quite literally, never been a problem for UM. Decades of not being a problem.

Blue chip ratio is good enough to not get blown out and embarrassed by UNC and Clemson.

The fact that people think a blue chip RATIO is a good measuring stick shows just how terrible the average football fan is at math.

It’s comical

Manny is in position to make a run at this thing. Year 3 we didn't get the DC we wanted but we got a LEGIT Secondary coach and brought in an NFL guy for get our DL to continue its upward trajectory. Year 3 is the year of double digit wins

We just had the best 2 year haul of 4 and 5 star recruits of all the years on this list

Nowhere near being obsessed, just curious. My roster numbers didn't match up with the chart. Since when does a simple question translate into obsession?

Come on, just be honest. This isn't about one "simple question", it is about the fact that you bring up walk-ons in every single thread that lists/analyzes the roster.

Nobody cares about "your" roster numbers. The only important measure involves recruits who sign LOIs. Walk-ons don't mean anything, but you are literally the only poster on the board who continually asks questions about the (non) impact of walk-ons.

In the last 40 years, there has never once been a situation at UM where a coach has to tell a recruit "well, we'd really like to offer you a scholarship to UM, but we gave out too many scholarships to walk-ons".

The things some people get their panties in a knot about......

And this is why anyone who says we are not talented enough to win the **** coastal every year needs to go sit in timeout
I think we are talented enough to compete for the ACC and possible playoff. Clemson shouldn’t be dominating their games with us that easily.

How were there 3 or 2 5-stars from 2015-2017 when none committed and only one committed in 2014? Transfers?
