Oh wow, that's ****ING INSIGHTFUL. Considering that no one calling for Golden's head thinks it has ANYTHING to do with not having the talent. That's a straw man argument that Golden's been throwing out from game one. And it's bull****. Knowledgeable fans know that we're not elite, but we sure as **** have the talent to WIN THE COT**** COASTAL!!! Give him the BEST talent in the country and he's not gonna win championships. I'm sorry, neg me all you want. Maybe its too much logic for some if you to understand. Maybe some of the media are being too realistic for some of you. Golden and his staff are not perfect. But I still view it as he's in his first season of freedom. Questionable decisions by the staff on gamedays are bothersome. But its not realistic to be as perfect and dominant as some of you expect us to be in his 4 years here. Why don't some of you couch coaches apply to be head coach and try to recruit under an ncaa investigation. So what Herby supported Shannon too, look how much coaching turnover we had under Shannons program. Those kids learned a new system and terminology pretty much every season of Randy's tenure. Stop bullshi**ing yourselves. Programs don't win big during an NCAA investigation and bowl bans and recruiting restrictions. Especially when they can go play for FSU, LSU or BAMA. Thats a business decision. It doesnt matter who grew up in south florida and who grew up loving the canes.

I don't hate this guy, but he stating the obvious. Is there anyone except blind person who has not realized Kaaya is fantastic QB. Kid could be great in old days when QBs had to call most of their own plays -- 99.9999% of QBs today would never see the field back then. What he failed to mention is Al got a lot better after those banners flew. Maybe the players like him and played harder, maybe he got angry and is showing us, maybe he made some changes. I don't know but for em the banners had positive impact. Unless we fold again this year, we are stuck with Al next year. I say fly the banner at spring game just to remind him we are here.

Outstanding article! This is exactly the type of media buzz we need to propel Golden into offers from Rutgers, elsewhere in the Big 10, or just anyplace other than Coral Gables.

And the truth is that Miami has had one great coach since 1984 and the rest have been mediocre. People ride Butch like he is a god and what has he really done? Miami has won titles with mediocre coaches, but they have never won a title when it didn't get its pick of the top SFL kids. You give me those kids year in and year out and I will take Zook and we will win enough titles to get Zook hired by the Cowboys. Miami has always been about the talent on field and anything that helps that is a major step in the right direction right now.
