Listen, I'm as upset with the loss as any of you. I'm upset at the way the team played at Pitt. I understand wanting to a little. But dang guys! When we were 10-0 and #2 in the country everyone was singing the Turnover Chain song, Richt was a Godsend, Malik was baller. Couple bad games and everyone sucks and should be cut, or fired, or flogged.

This team has played hard all year long! We were not going to beat Clemson this year with the injuries to the starting line up, not this year.

Donna Shalala left this football team near dead. It's going to take a few years to get it back to where we were before she became President. It wasn't Coker, Shannon, or Golden - they were symptoms of a bigger problem at the top.

The team beat FSU in Doak, ND, VT. We are Coastal division champs. This team has got people coming to Hard Rock for games - so now we finally have some home field advantage. This team has got new recruits exited to come play at Miami again! The 2017 Canes left the program BETTER THAN WHEN THEY GOT THERE! And deserve a thank you from the fan base, and some support when we don't go 12-0.

I wanted Butch to come back 2 years ago. I am happy he did not! Richt has this team playing better than we seen them play in a decade! Top 5 recruiting class coming in, the IPF has broke ground, every thing this guy has done has made the football program better. And you would think he hasn't won a game this year the way the fan base talks about him.

Thank you to the 2017 Hurricanes football team! It was a fun year to be a fan!! Thank you to the Hurricanes football coaching staff - y'all have worked your asses off all year and if has shown in the performance of the team. I, for one, am exited to watch the Bowl Game, and see where we go in 2018!!!

Go Canes!!!

How many show up for high priced OB ticket to watch Alabama take us apart? I wonder.

I agree. I've never believed we were truly top 5 team. I was glad that many teams hurt themselves in the ranking to make room for us, but from a recruiting stand point. The ND game was great for us. I think this year was great to bring fans back to the games and recruits to the team but Richt has been here now for two years and hasn't had a chance to really get and develop HIS people. This team had zero change of going in to the playoffs with Rosy at the helm. He's a good kid and fights until the last second (that last interception he could of just stood there but he ran and made a tackle and you could just tell by the way he held on that he was going to be damned to let them get a pick 6). However, he's not an elite QB and that's what anyone needs to play in the final dances.

Next year will be another step in the right direction.

Fickle fan bases have a lot of teams looking for coaches who will be looking for coaches again in a couple of years. Band wagoners are easy come, easy go.

If you've been waiting for some sign of a return like I have for almost two decades, this was a pretty **** positive year and reaffirmation of a great hire.

I went to the ACC Title game, saw a great program (RANKED NUMBER 1 & THE DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS) do what teams with that type of experience and talent should - we went in without three of the best payers on offense, no where near the depth we need yet to compete with the #1s , and an awful kicking game, and throwing up a zone defense and hoping for the best. Not making some early catches and tackles, and a 16 yard punt, set the dominos tumbling.

As a long term fan, I'm taking it in stride will try and make the O-Bowl and am looking forward to the next two years

Good point. Those guys have all gone on to be incredibly successful head coaches elsewhere.

And you're right, now that there's been a change we were on the verge of hiring Greg Schiano as head coach. The culture is truly changing.

Let's call a spade a spade and say we're lucky to have Mark Richt. That's all there really is to this.

Fickle? So, Miami fans should be happy that we lost to a 5-7 Pittsburgh team and was field rate by Clemson just because we won 10 games?

Are you happy we beat FSU, VT, ND won the Coastal and are headed to the Orange Bowl as a top 10 team, or are you just a miserable piece of ****?

We could have easily been 7-5...we ended up 10-2 and were the talk of College Football for a few weeks in November.

Not mad.

I guess you are going to give him a pass for the worst loss of Miami football history.

Are you a 13 year old girl (serious question)?

Even a 13 year old girl would not give him a pass for losing to a team with 4 losses while ranked number 2 in the country.

I agree with everything you said except the fact that Shalalaa didn’t recruit mediocre QB’s among other things it was Goldy. And please then there’s Radio and Cucky but I’ll refrain because this is a happy post.I’m also “excited” to be playing in a quality Bowl game and we are going to stay home!!! I can’t wait!!! We as fans have so so much to be greatful for, especially CMR. He did so much with many horses that would never start in other top programs or play professionally. We made huge strides this year especially on the recruiting trail. We are in good hands with CMR leading us. God Bless and Go Canes!!!!

It was only 2 fcking years ago, and had nothing to do with Richt or pretty much anyone who played last night. What kind of bandwagon fan doesn't know that?

Worst lose in Miami football history? You must be a young spoiled little punk. The team was living on the edge practically the whole year with a bad QB and an even worst Backup QB and finally Pitt solved the puzzle and exposed our main weakness at the QB position. CMR did a great job masking the problem but it too **** obvious to mask any longer. QB couldn’t hit wide open receivers to save his life and the funny thing is that the problem has been there since the beginning of the season but it’s amazing what winning can do. It made that problem easy to over look. The Pitt coach didn’t over look it so he just focus on stopping the run and took a chance or rolled the dice that Malik had to beat them passing. Defending National Champs (third straight playoff appearance)definitely didn’t over look such a flaw. Stop b!tching and be happy that the program is alive again. Seems like you haven’t been a Canes fan for the last 14-15 years.
