Why do we hold up 4 fingers before the start of the 4th quarter and then coach like scared little b!!tches and try not to lose a big lead? Happy with the win but this lack of a killer instinct at the end of the game is not going to cut it vs better teams in the playoffs

The issue wasn’t ’conservative.’ We just have consistently not executed on offense in the 4th quarter. We attempted to sling the ball which led to incomplete passes which led to the clock not being burned. We passed up FGs to go for the jugular.

I seriously don’t think most people in this board know football. We went into a shell on defense to keep everything in front of us. That’s the ONLY reason they started scoring late!

It's the offense, not the defense that is to blame (minus the ends for getting too far up the field creating scrambling lanes).

Lyle just isn't it and we need to play Fletcher/Charmer to close out games. We also need to mix in the short passing game and take shots down the field and over the middle if teams sell out.
