The college football season is quickly approaching as betting sites are starting to release their odds for the most anticipated matches this upcoming season. FanDuel unveiled an opening line for the biggest game on the Miami Hurricanes schedule.

There are a couple of games on the schedule to circle. However, the one game the whole country will be watching will be Miami at Notre Dame. FanDuel released their odds on the game in favor of the Fighting Irish. Who doesn't love a good underdog story, right?

The Irish are a touchdown favorite, with a spread of 6.5 points over the Hurricanes. The total for the game is set at 54.5 points. The Hurricanes moneyline is set at +190 compared to Notre Dame's -235. Last year, the Irish were -2.5 point favorites, with Miami covering and winning the game, 27-24. Miami was 11-5 against the spread during the 2025-26 season, failing to cover against Virginia Tech, Syracuse, SMU, Louisville, and Bethune Cookman. On the other side, Notre Dame was 6-6 ATS and 4-3 as home favorites.

Their fans making excuses is always funny. Some of my favorites: Carr's first game, only loss by 3 with a freshman, new DC, the slot CB was sorry, etc.
