Miami Football is DEAD

South Florida players looking really bad next to men that want it more. Pathetic we need social media to be worthy ****.

It really is a simple fix and I don’t think people fully grasp how horrible the division is and what a low bar it would be to dominate said division.

It starts with Blake James.

Either he is in control and making these decisions or the BOT are and he is a puppet.

Either way we need a competent AD with passion and autonomy. Once we bring in this person, things will change.
 
I look at it like being a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks.

I EXPECT them to suck. I just watch the games and laugh at the incompetence.

70's where great on Sundays with the hey day of Fins. Sucked since. Saturdays where the bomb in 80's. early 90's, Turn of century rocked but since that OSU horror it has sucked. Having lived through the 60's and 70's of Cane football, the glory days more than made up for those and even today's mess but now I just can't take the pain any more.

I would not trade what we had for any other tradition because it was so out-sized compared to our little private school. USC is private but had always been a power. Bama, OU, OSU, OK are all huge state schools with massive donor bases and long tradition. ND is, well ND -- like them our not. We are the other hand were little sleepy Sun-Tan U. Suddenly we exploded and not only took over college football, we save it and made it exciting, and as a side-show brought the other two big FL schools in our wake to heights they only dreamed of.

I pray that our younger fans get rewarded with some more glory to reward their support. For me, I am still playing on house money, but want to take some with me. You young guys can take heart in 2017. With a suddenness, that reminder me of Howard's 4 year, we burst back on the scene and scared the living crap out of everyone. May all of you see the real thing before your time.

That must be a time warp reference. The Bucks are expected to win 53 or 54 games this season (over/under), and estimated odds of making the playoffs are astronomical. I've seen upwards of 99%.

I should start uploading some of those classic Canes games to YouTube. I lost energy when my prior channel with nearly 300 videos was wiped out due to copyright complaints from the NFL and International Olympic Committee.

Nebraska is an interesting comparison. I remember in real time many ultra sharp analysts were saying their run was not sustainable and eventually would be looked at similar to earlier Minnesota. Nebraska extended and extended for a couple of decades and those doomsayers were mocked but I'm a big picture guy so I always believed there was plenty of truth to it.

I never understood why they changed conferences. Seemingly that was a stupid move from a talent access perspective. I think I'd continue to want exposure for my program in Texas, if I am located in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Maybe they didn't have a choice or the financial benefit was overwhelming. I concede I wasn't paying full attention when those strange Big 10 acquisitions took place like Nebraska, Rutgers and Maryland.

Nebraska has a passionate fan base, an on-campus stadium, and more history than we do. I like their chances better than ours but I suspect it would be brief bursts and nothing like they experienced from 1970 through early 2000s.

Oh yes, the always familiar participation trophy reference. It was an incredible comment on society when one segment of society somehow decided that was clever. The participation trophy types are the same ones who think the ACC Coastal is inept and we're supposed to walk right through it on talent level alone. Meanwhile North Carolina and Virginia Tech apparently forgot they aren't allowed to participate.

Anyway, the Bucks are rated in the top 5 or 6 in every NBA power rating I have seen. Some have them as high as second.

538 has them 5th in the league. I wouldn't mind that type of participation.

2nd place is first loser. I dont care who finishes 5th or 6th but apparently you do. Shows the difference between us as men.

Nebraska will never be back, add Tennessee to that mix.. Miami still has a glimmer of hope, just because of our recruiting base.. FSU actually might never be back either.. it was a glorious run though! Glad I got to experience it and will always follow my Canes, albeit is somewhat less passionately..

I haven't watched basketball since the 90's. So I guess it is a time warp reference.

I still guarantee you the Milwaukee Bucks suck... it's just what they do.

Please do that's all we have left at this point. That Notre Dame game at hardrock seems like a decade ago.

I don’t even get ****ed anymore. My whole family are Canes fans. My siblings and my self attended UM. Each game we get together with all our families, wife kids.. bbq, watch the game and have the kids play in the pool. It was a tradition I started years ago ( I played HS football and was a huge fan), back when it used to be exciting to watch us play. Now It’s more about spending time with the family and laughing at how far this program has fallen. Canes wins or loses don’t directly impact my life, but it sure made Saturday afternoons more exciting when they were good. I don’t live in Miami any longer but still attend a few games a year but VT is the last game I’ll be attending this year. Would rather wake up the next day and go on the boat or the beach, then drive back from these pathetic displayed of football week after week.
 
Does this mean board traffic will drop next week?
