Have yall looked at our WR roster for the next 1-2 years?

Graduating / Draft:
Cj Daniels, Keelan Marrion, Tony Johnson

Returning:
Toney, Josh Moore, Daylyn Upshaw, Chance Robinson

Portal Candidate:
Trader (if he doesn't start earning PT by the end of the year - HOPEFULLY NOT!), Ray Ray Joseph, and Ny Carr. I'd basically guarantee Ray ray transfers; Toney has slot locked down, and Ray Ray has to go somewhere to play next year. He'll be cool at SMU next year. Ny Carr already entered the portal this offseason, and literally is last on the Depth Chart. He's got potential still but we will see. He needs a big winter+spring next year.

Commits:
Vance Spafford, Somourian Wingo, Tyran Evans

Expected 2026 Roster = 7-9 Players... We NEED minimum 10-12. As its looking if Trader leaves we 100% are going to need to hit a portal WR again. but regardless we can still use a 5 person WR class. And then you have to expect by 1-2 years from now at least 1 or 2 of them will portal out anyways. The best will survive, the ones who lose the competition will leave. And in 2027 we take a 4 man WR class.

Unexpected portal situation at QB…but don’t be surprised if the injured Penn State QB gets the medical redshirt and someone in his circle gets asked…..”You see what Mario Cristobal has done with Cam Ward and Carson Beck? Willing to hop in the portal and take a visit?”

That’s a little like saying if he didn’t talk and thick, with an obviously strong arm and good athleticism, nobody would like him. Why was he a 5star and not a 3star? Look at his build, and arm talent.

It seems like he doesn’t have a quick release, which is an issue right now. I’m not sure the PSU offense is very good for him though.

I don’t think Allar would be a fit for us, but It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone WHY he is viewed as having franchise QB potential.

Arm and all that is good to have, but if you cant process and cant feel the pocket (pause) and then on top of that miss targets you cooked. So many QBs can make all the throws but are complete hot dog water because of the other things that are as important. Look at Fields late on everything and cant process, who is actually shocked that he's cheeks? not me I said it since his HS tape but dude like that can survive in college with super talented teams.

I could imagine the bottom NFL teams right now having to over draft a QB in next years draft. I would not be comfortable as a fan of a team picking a QB. I dont like any of them coming out to be like a number 1 overall pick. Sucks to be a Jet fan or any other team looking for a QB. They better do their homework big time, who knows there might be someone in next years class that may surprise.
