Nothing about that tape shows proof of him being better than anybody down here. Gourdine's tape (for example) is wayyyyy better...especially when you consider who the WR's are on his tape. It's not even close.

You have to watch 2 minutes before you see him covering anybody.

Come on, Macho. Lol! You know we respect your opinion on here. But you come across like, “Well if we have room for him..sure take him” Lol. He’s a top 15 player in the country. Tape might not be impressive but you’re also looking at it from a DCs eye as well. I would be interested to see how he fared in camps and 7 vs 7 against elite comp.

You’re insufferable and we know what you’re implying. I’m sure the 2nd string sophomore corner you’re coaching up is better and UM should offer instead

Here we have tape of Donte Wright pursuing, disengaging, and covering our very own Vance Spafford when Wright was a sophomore and Spafford was a junior. These are Spafford’s highlights (3 plays) so obviously only one side of the story.

It looks like Spafford might’ve gotten away with a hold on the second play.



Mission Viejo won 49 to 14.

He is a five star for a reason ofc. This is from his sophomore year and he gets an interception while covering Vance Spafford #13. This is the same game as the highlights above.



This is from Donte’s freshman year against Mission Viejo; Donte is wearing #22, not #4, below. Long Beach Poly won 32-28; Mission Viejo went 13-3 and won states. Long Beach Poly was 10-2 this year.

He has better highlights w/ cornerback play on his non-junior year mixtape. This is what the people wanna see; Macho and ATL were correct in saying the highlight tape was insufficient; in speaking about his cornerback film. He has many more highlights and coverage film on the individual games.

They were critiquing the footage more than the football player because they can only go off the footage ofc (at least that’s how I read it).

His 2025 tape solely against Mission Viejo, LBP lost 56 to 7, is longer than his whole junior season highlights for some reason. Additionally, in this and another game from his season last year, there are multiple games packed in what’s labeled a single game. Or supposed to be a single game. His stature as a recruit made these highlights unnecessary because he had all the offers he needed; however, whoever made the montage really didn’t put any effort into it; and the jumbling of the film did him a disservice.

Vance did not play this game because he was out with a foot injury and only played four games his senior season.



Kinda hilarious the UGA staff saw this all and got both kids to commit—just to lose both kids to Miami in the end. Wright v. Spafford will return on Greentree….

I think he just aint like his cb tape..ive been like that on prospects as well as jrs then mid year or sr tape comes around and im like **** i see why they were ranked what they were.

Cool. Special athletes are gonna be special athletes no matter who is coaching them, especially in HS.

Apologies if anyone is butt hurt over questioning intentions but my experience with SFL HS football coaches is there’s a little too much “god complex” , they’re never wrong and strong homerism to all things SFL.

There’s great players in other places too, maybe not the volume, but to imply the kid may be overrated from a highlight tape is crazy.
