Miami flips 2026 defensive lineman Isaac Chukwurah from Penn State

Gonna be tough to keep this kid committed. Franklin has become the new Boogey-Man to any team that flipped PSU kids when he was let go.

Thankfully we only have 1.

Plus VaTech has been saving their NIL $$$ so don’t be shocked if VT surges into the top 15ish in recruiting rankings

Where are you guys seeing all this information? I see nothing. As far as I see, he had visits scheduled to WVU and Syracuse for late November but he never took them after he committed to Miami.

I see nothing to indicate that he has even communicated with VT about setting up a visit yet alone that he is about to flip there because Franklin got hired. I get Franklin is getting a lot of his former commits on the VT board; but all i see is self-perpetuating speculation from one CiS comment that Isaac Chukwurah is doubting his Miami commitment.

On3

Chukwurah told CaneSport that he still has plans to sign with Miami on Wednesday, but that he wants to hear what Franklin has to say out of respect for the coach who recruited him for much of his process.

It is whatever it is. With the portal I'm not going to sweat it. Mario has proven he can build a roster and adjust where needed.

Franklin is a good recruiter, but I will say that recruiting to VT is not as easy as recruiting to Penn State. Their football brand is on an entirely different level than VT. Kids didn't commit just to Franklin; they committed to Franklin+PSU.

Right? If Mario got fired from here and started coaching at UVA, it's Mario so I am sure he would still recruit well but not as well as he could at Miami.

VTech should basically have a clean slate with NIL as far as where funds are directed so obviously Franklin should be targeting specific kids he had committ And giving them the NiL needed.

Shame on Penn State still not having a coach, thus easy pickings for Franklin to grab all his recruits.

I’m shocked he’s getting these kids over right away because I imagine VT NIL isn’t the same as PSU
Again relationships with money wins all the time. If Mario did a great job in building trust he ain’t going anywhere unless he's close to JF. We performed on the field at DE especially and still missed on whales. Like I said for years recruiting and on field is two separate things.

"Win and they will come" pause
Its CAP
