Miami fans reaching new levels of homerism on twitter

Don Chaney will ball when he's healthy.

But can Travonte Citizen be the man for the first half of the season? Chaney and Citizen are RB1 material. And water is wet.

Crisco and staff hand-picked Parrish, Citizen, Young, Sagapolu, Denis, Agude, Moultrie, Licthenstein, Johnson, Porter. These blokes are going to play early and often.

True or untrue: there's a higher likelihood of Chaney transferring than there is of him rushing for major yardage (800+ yards) in 2022.

One dollar.
“One dollar Bob”.

No issue with you there, but predicting Chaney to rush for 1300 yards in 2022 is where I draw the line.
Well I didn’t make that prediction - or any other besides believing the Canes have a 10 win regular season or better.

in one game alone against a Diaz D scheme...

heyyyyy ohhhhhhhhhh
I'll chuckle if/when someone rolls up 500+ yards rushing on Penn State.

Manny Diaz will have the dubious distinction of being the DC of record for three P5 teams' worst defensive performances in team history:

Texas vs BYU
Miami vs UNC
Penn State vs ________

If healthy he will get the bulk of the carries and should get between 800-1000 yards IMO.

If not healthy he will probably get closer to 300-400 yards.

What do you think about UF fans that say Anthony Richardson is going to win the Heisman?

Or FSU fans that think Jordan Travis is the best QB in the ACC?
The difference is those programs are not starving for support, even when they're dumpster fires. Can you say the same thing for MIA? There's people on this forum who were around during MIA's last heyday, and they will attest to the fact that even then this program was struggling to garner support. So the pt that I've been repeatedly trying to make to you, is that the crusade on this forum against sunshine pumping homers makes no sense, because the vast majority of individuals are already dyck sucking mopes. So if you ask me, this fanbase doesn't have enough sunshine pumping homers. Just my observation

Let's have this discussion about our RB1 Henry Parrish.
Can't discount his existing relationship with Kevin Smith, his experience playing in the SEC, and Knighton/Chaney both returning from injury. Same can be said for Porter at DB and Sagapolu/Denis at OL. Even though they're new to the program they have the advantage of familiarity with the new corches.

If you read twitter you would think we just got to the college football playoff. Our fans are celebrating crystal balls and a few commitments. Don’t get me wrong I am happy with Mario but we will need to win on the field.

Yeah the guy with the highest ceiling when healthy on the team is going to transfer

O/U should be set around 450 for Chaney this year, imo.

A good question would be - if you set the O/U at 450 yds for every Miami RB this year - which ones would you take the Over on?

Odds are there's only going to be 2 - 3 RB's Miami have topped 450 in the same season only 2 times in the last 40 years.

So what 2 would you take?

my guess on RB rushing numbers:
Parrish: 180 carries, 1000 yards
Citizen: 150 carries, 800 yards
Knighton: 50 carries, 300 yards; 30 catches, 350 yards
Chaney: 40 carries, 200 yards
Thad: 15 carries, 100 yards

The real question is are we out on Don? The guy’s skill set is intriguing. Just hasn’t been healthy. Interested to see if he gets a chance or not.

I’ve been high on him since HS. Hoping he can stay on the field.

On a side note, really wish Lingard would’ve panned out but glad it helped with Avantae.
