Miami has entered the mix for 2027 wide receiver Brody Diel, extending an offer to the Louisiana standout as the Hurricanes continue evaluating talent in the 2027 recruiting cycle. He is currently committed to Rice he announced on social media.



Diel, who plays at Central High School in Baton Rouge, is coming off a strong junior season in which he recorded 57 catches for 982 yards and 13 touchdowns. His production helped put him on the radar of programs across the country and has led to increased recruiting attention this offseason.

At 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, Diel brings a solid frame and has shown the ability to make plays at all levels of the field. His size and ball skills has helped him become one of the more talked-about receivers in Louisiana’s 2027 class.



The Hurricanes join a growing list of programs that have offered Diel, including Arkansas State, Air Force, Army, Navy, Southern Miss, and Rice. As his recruitment continues to pick up steam, Miami will now have an opportunity to build a relationship with the talented pass catcher.

With one year of high school football still ahead of him, Diel’s recruitment appears far from over with teams still offering him after being committed. Miami’s offer adds another major program to his growing list and puts the Hurricanes in the conversation for one of Louisiana’s rising 2027 prospects.

I asked a legitimate question. Instead of answers, I’m being indicted. Whatever happened to due process? Gee whiz, one little typo and here we are….

 

Bro, I thought the same thing. When I clicked on that I thought I was seeing a deadlift, and was like ”not impressive” then the kid cleaned it, and I was “ok, that was impressive” lol.

Wonder if the staff is just seeing how close Lane is tracking our every move… let’s see if LSU offers in the next couple of weeks..

Most of the time, all it takes is for one “big boy program” to offer a kid, and then others will start offering. Crazy how that works. It’s like the others don’t want their fans screaming, “Hey why didn’t we offer that kid? He’s right in our backyard!!” If the kid blows up and becomes really good. That way they can kinda save face like, “Aye, we wanted him, but he chose to leave home.”

 

I don't know if he is a superstar in the making, but with 105 roster it is fine with me to take some swings. Who knows he might be part of the grad-assistant in waiting program..........................

Think we are gonna several of these type of offers to fill the bottom portion of the roster. I thought they would come later in the year once senior tape started coming out but they must have seen something they liked and the kid must have been receptive to not getting NIL.

EVERYONE IS GETTING NIL....MAY BE ON THE LOWER END THOUGH.

I think they are getting in earlier on this offer as this kid likely was going to get offers above the rice level his sr szn.

 

This staff deserves the right for us to respect this offer. We are paying good money to a white receiver who wasent highly ranked currently. Productive kid. Very interesting.
