Miami Dolphins Draft

Hafley likes late round CBs to develop.

Sully loves WRs in round 2.

Sully has mentioned he prefers many good players, over little elite players (trends toward trading down, not up) with how the team is built.
Based on his and Hafley's comments, I think they will trade down if 3-4 players (Bain, Francis, Downs, and maybe Fano) aren't available. The trade down option opens up a possibility though for Keldric Faulk who I'm not too high on.

Would want Bain, Francis or Delane at 11. If neither are there, Spencer Fano. Caleb Downs is awesome but not a huge fan of taking a safety when we don't have actual corners.
Passing up on a potential All-Pro because another position is weak doesn't make sense to me. Also, Hafley pretty much trotted that out in GB last year. The stars of their secondary were their safeties -- Evan Williams and Xavier McKinney. Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine were average while Javon Bullard had a good year in the slot.

The way they went about the position in free agency also tells me there probably won't be that huge of an investment in the draft. My guess is they draft two DBs but neither will be on Day 1, unless Downs is there at 11 or a they really like one at 30 (Chris Johnson, Colton Hood, or EMW).

1. We don’t even know if Sullivan was responsible for Green Bay’s draft. He wasn’t the GM.

2. But let’s say as the director of player personnel, he was in charge of GB’s drafts (since 2018). They only took 2 WRs in the 2nd round since he was in that position. Prior, he was a scout.

We're not even close to average at corner, though. From a positional standpoint, CB holds a greater value. System or not, it's the truth.

I don't disagree. What I'm saying is that's not stopping a team from drafting a very good player. The only position where you would act in that manner is at QB. We have 10 more draft picks to target a CB(s).

Good morning my fellow tormented 🐬 fans! Another Day 1 of the draft where the players we pick probably won’t be here for contract 2! 😂

Let’s hope this flattop *** HC and his lookalike GM can make some real moves this weekend!
