Even though it's a holiday with July 4th, the transfer portal is in full swing which means this Hurricane staff continues to work.

And they've added a really nice peice with Presbyterian catcher Jackson Hugus.



Brother of friday night starter Griffin Hugus, he heads down to Coral Gables as a strong defensive peice who slashed .277/.442 /.427 in his two years starting at Presbyterian.

He will serve as a nice depth peice to back up NC State transfer...

He will serve as a nice depth peice to back up NC State transfer Alex Sosa, with both Evan Taveras and Nolan Johnson entering the portal earlier this week.



Hugus becomes the eighth portal addition for the Miami Hurricanes in 2025, who look to get over the hump and return to Omaha for the first time since 2016.
