This team doesn't have an approach to hitting. It's just swing away with little understanding of circumstance or pitcher.

This guy isn't some overwhelming fireballer, he's nibbling and is wild as ****. Sit back and let him walk you on base if need be, but until he's throwing strikes, don't bail him out by swinging at garbage. Miami could easily have 1-3 runs right now, merely from letting him walk guys on base, and some decent hits or small ball. You only need 3-5 runs today, especially with Palmquist on the mound. You get into their bullpen, you can break the game open. That said, allowing him to skate through, despite not being able to find the plate for most of the game is insane and shows how incompetent Dimare is in regards to detail management. A solid coach would have had his team sitting back and NOT CHASING, especially after it became obvious this dude can't locate pitches...

We were all hoping the miami team from the month of March and early April would magically come back… that certainly Hasn’t happened through 2 games.

This is the same team we’ve seen for 2 months now. A not very good one

This isn't masterful. He can't find the plate, and when you account for how tight the strike zone is being called, Miami is chasing after obvious balls. Miami doesn't have an approach, they are just swinging at crap, like it's a race to get back to the dugout...
