Miami Beach Bowl - Why Not The U Regular Season Games

that stadium is a perfect representation of what our school and fan base are: small intimate setting, with rabid fans. That would be an intimating place to play for opposing teams, with the fans and team being right up on you.

Uh...No.

ESPN announcers said the University of Miami should be watching this game seeing how it looks for Football games. They thought this stadium was a great venue for football. One guy even mentioned, why drive up 45 minutes to SLS when you have this closer to campus?

I don't think we would ever play there, I believe we need our own stadium; however, one thing about Marlins Park is that it can get very loud in that stadium even with 30k. Our Football program desperately needs a home field advantage, and SLS does not provide that 95% of the time.

It does sound pretty loud. And i think theres probably about 17,000 there. I dont like how they have the front sections tarpped off. Could of made for some prime seating.

Watching on TV it doesn't look any better then Sun Life. Especially if the renovations turn out to be good, I don't see any point in switching.

I've never step foot in that stadium and if you're a true cane, you never will.

Makes me sick listening to the talking heads on ESPN make excuses for the brawl that occurred. "it was a chippy game" blah blah blah. Trevor Matich(BYU grad) saying "I know one thing as a football player you protect your brother." which I agree with. Pretty much what Lamar Thomas said. He got killed and fired for his comments. The hate and jealousy for the Canes is amazing. The FIU brawl is understandable based on location and many kids on FIU wanted to go to the U and competed against Cane players their whole life. BYU lost the game and got their *** kicked after game.

The Miami Hurricanes football team is not wanted in Marlins Stadium!!! If Miami was wanted, the city officials would have made the architects adjust their blueprints to accommodate both football and baseball.

IMHO, it would be a giant smack in the face to the university if they ever decide to play one game in that tin can.

that set up is horrible. no thanks. unless they tear it down and build it for football otherwise no thanks.

Initially there were talks about having UM play there, however those talks haven't happened for sometime I believe.

One of the issues according to the Marlins, is that UM kicks off during the final month of the MLB regular season. The grass costs 5 dollars a square foot and having UM play each Saturday would tear up the field.

This is what someone pretty high up in the Marlins organization told me recently.
