BartTorvik’s model projects an 89–81 Florida win, giving the Gators a 73% chance to take it outright. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor isn’t much...

Sleepers Media Podcast

The Sleepers Media podcast on YouTube, a college basketball show known for breaking down matchups, predictions, and more, took some time to preview the Miami vs. Florida game.

They ended up picking Florida to win by a lot, and the host on the left mentioned he expects it to be a low-scoring game because Florida still can’t hit the three ball.

CBS Sports projection leans toward a lower-scoring matchup, backing the under 169.5 total while also siding with Florida at +9.5 on the spread.

Action Network

"This is a Florida team that lost to Arizona and barely beat Florida State. The Gators might need some time to get things right, and this Miami team is very much improved. Florida also has a non-conference slate that contains Duke and UConn in back-to-back games. I think from a talent perspective, I can’t argue that Florida wins out. The Gators are faster and larger, but they haven't looked great to start the year. I’m not sure I’d be comfortable laying this amount of points on Florida at a neutral site. This game could come down to the last few possessions. While Florida typically will have the advantage if that’s the case, but I don’t think there’s going to be enough time for it to cover the spread."

Pick: Miami +10.5 (Play to +8)

Joe Lunardi Weighs In

Sportsbook Wire

Here is what Sportsbook Wire had to say about the matchup between the Hurricanes and there Gators tonight:

"Florida figures to have better days ahead when it comes to performance from beyond the arc. But a rally in that department may not be in the cards against a Miami team that has held opposing shooters to a 26.9% mark on triples. Miami may not be as Quad I-ready for this early-season matchup, as its 3 opponents so far are all outside the BartTorvik top-200. But Florida has logged ATS missteps against the Arizona Wildcats (Nov. 3) and FSU, and those games would seem to be solid indicators for this one. Overnight, the ML markets shifted toward the Hurricanes. But the spread did not yield. Peg the double-digit cushion has having a sliver of value on the Miami side."

BACK THE HURRICANES +10.5 (-115).

They are drunk by saying they are faster than us. This UF team is limited athletically in their rotation. These dudes clearly don’t watch ball to be voicing that

I’ve came away unimpressed by UF’s guard play and athletic ability in the backcourt. The shooting is lacking compared to last year as well. There big and have length but I don’t see a top ten team.
