Miami Backfield

"Add in a more confident and experienced Brad Kaaya at QB, and the storyline probably should be less about who replaces Johnson as the featured back and more about how James Coley and the Canes fit the pieces they have left into a cohesive game plan that doesn't necessarily have to look exactly like last year's."

This quote says it all. Unfortunately our HC and OC are not even close to being up to the task.

Yeap, our problem is the sidelines for about the 13th years in a row, not the backfield. Actually, Kaaya looks very much like the QB we have been missing since Ken. That, by itself, makes this the best team we have seen in years. Again, except for the sidelines.

If the line is solid, we'll have no problem running the ball. In the end it all comes down to the line and BK. Backs, WRs, and TEs are going to be fine.

Not nearly enough speed.

Ding ding ding ding ding!!!! We have a winner Johnny! This is what concerns me the most. Outside of Gray our speed at rb is pedestrian.

Did Duke Johnson have elite speed? No but he had elite acceleration, vision, and an elite stiff arm. He had good breakaway speed but that's about it. Yearby is all of what Duke Johnson was except that he is notch below him in the speed category but it is getting better and remember Yearby broke his ankle in December of 2014 so now he should be fully healed. Gus Edwards has great speed for his size

You guys fall for any **** thing. You guys do realize that 90% of franchises posts are not to be taken literally. You guys should have seen that by now...

Anyway, ALA gets by pretty well without having a RB with 4.4 speed. In fact most of their RB stable are like ours. Kids who just move the chains.

That said, if the light comes on for gus, we will be okay. If not, that's gonna be a problem. Yearby can't shoulder the load alone and I don't want to depend on Walton or gray yet.
