I don’t buy any of these numbers I see listed my social media, even if it is from reputable sources. Nobody’s actually taking a look at the agreement so we don’t really know.

It’s like when people say so-and-so got an $80 million NFL contract. But what they don’t tell you is that only 20 million is guaranteed. I’m not saying that’s what’s going on here, but there’s always requirements, restrictions, and/or conditions that are behind the curtain that we don’t know about that will absolutely affect the overall value of the agreement.

Isnt that smart, renegotiate at the newer bettter market rate sooner.. To me only good thing about their deal..
for who? Better for Ole Miss yeah. How is that the only good thing about the deal for Ole miss if it actually is $20M/yr?

I'm saying this makes no sense for Adidas. To do that and not match ours....

Adidas seem to follow pay more to attain than retain..

Off topic, but how much of a needle mover are the new CC22 shoes for Nike in reversing their stock trends?

The issues w Nike is not American sports; their sports revenue have actually grown. The problem w Nike is the Asian & European markets. Both markets r catering to homegrown brands. What’s funny about Wall Street is these r paper #’s. Literally it’s based upon several metrics, dominated by margins & operational stress test.

While Wall Street sees Nike’s growth in women’s sports, American Football, Running, & Basketball, the revenue is not adding up as they continue to dip 1-2% in gross projections due to their international market losses.

Covid was a blessing & a curse for them; the blessing was experiencing gains that were historic due to their DTC model, but a curse b/c internationally they lost ground. Heard they’re opening a HQ in China to have boots on the ground & they’re moving certain Beaverton jobs to territories of concern.

CC22 shoes were a massive hit, but so was A’ja’s release. North America is not the issue, it’s regaining momentum in those area areas of the world.
