This one is big. A win put us solidly in play for a top 4 ACC seed.

A loss means we realistically need to finish the season 5-1 to have a shot at top 4.

Wake is ranked #25 and they are playing really good ball right now.

We are 3-3 in our last 6 with two of those wins over last place GT and the other by a half court shot.

We are not playing our best right now and if the same team shows up that has been around for the last month this game has a chance to be a repeat of the UVA game.

We are 4-2 against the bottoM 8.

Good news is after today we only have 2 games left against teams in the top 8. UVA at home and at Syracuse.

And both of them are playing their best ball of the season right now.

Momentum after a win is key here. Our confidence is better again. Need another great game from Sam. Hopefully Jordan plays. Got a good feeling with this one. Wong and Gust cant wait until the second half. When we start out fast we are tough.
 
Miami is firmly in the “bubble in” category right now. Nearly 90% of the brackets put us in the dance, but most (if not all) have us as a 10 to 12 seed. Both Lunardi and Palm have us “last 4 in”. A win today gives us another big time road win and would move us from the bubble to firmly in (for now, at least). Huge huge opportunity today.

To win this game, Miami needs more from Wong. Over the last 5 games, he’s averaging just 11.5 points a game and shooting poorly. That’s not gonna cut it today. We also have to shoot better from 3 to have any chance, and we’re going to need to force a bunch of turnovers if we don’t want Wake to score at will on us.
 
They need to play hard from the beginning of the game and not get down by double digits. Not wake up in the 2nd half and play catch up.

Need to be 40 percent from 3 and double digits for Sam. We get enough steals and to. We been shooting way under our average. 17-64 is not cutting it if you are giving up a lot of second chance points.
 
That said, Miami has to hit these shots early. Stay in this game, and steal it late. You can't allow Wake to get out in front and run away.

Very big, a sweep over Wake would be HUGE. Utterly HUGE. Miami is playing with house money here, if you steal this one, you are well on your way to the Dance, all you have to do is avoid dumb losses.
 
Nice to see Jordan Miller on the floor. Sam did not have a good start.

(upd: then again, Walker is making me miss Sam out there, and thats sayin sumthin)
