Boca Raton (FL.) defensive lineman Jamar Thompson, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound, playing his ball at West Boca Raton High School, narrowed his list on Thursday afternoon to just four schools.

The Miami Hurricanes and Mario Cristobal's squad made the cut for the defensive lineman, alongside Auburn, Michigan, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Jamar is considered a four-star talent by all four major recruiting sites. He's a top 20 player at his position and the No. 177 overall prospect in the 2027 class...

Thought I’d read somewhere (maybe here) his HS coach is an OSU guy and pushing there? Hopefully the kid wants to stay close to home.

They seem to let a lot out of Ohio imo they’re to focused everywhere else
We got one last year in Milan Parris. In a few top 100 lists, though his final schools didn't seem typical for that level of recruit.

Lots of kids don't necessarily want to stay close to home - especially with NIL, though it's hardly a new thing.

That said, this seems like a year where two-thirds of our class could come from Florida. Just a really good year in-state.
