We nail a 73 yard field goal as time expires.

IMO we should blow them out but we just don't blow anyone out. FSU excluded. Historically we are bad after a bye week so with two bye weeks...

The season is over ladies and gents, the way that covid 19 is taking off , I don’t think we suit up to play another snap of meaningful football again this year , it’s a possibility we play GT Tech but that game won’t mean much.

In my heart I feel like this year was a success, we only lost to a Clemson team that we were expected to lose to, we put that ugly 6-7 season in the rear view and I think we built good momentum with our Recruits for 2021 and 2022 , yea we won a lot of close games but we showed that we can pull through and win !

It hurts me that we probably won’t get to see our beloved canes anymore this year , but I hope this means that king, Phillips and all of our junior class return so we can build on this year and have a great season next year

Do you guys feel like ou season was a success or a flop ??

Sounds about right, Canes 31 Duke 14..we’ll start slow causing the usual fire Baker/Rumph and cursing Wr’s threads but in the end the game will never much be in doubt..

Cold and wet is impossible to duplicate. There will be Miami players who are uncomfortable, distracted, and even disinterested because of it. The weather should not decide the outcome but it may affect how good we look. We looked and played like SHlT under similar circumstances in 2019.

I doubt the players care as much as we do about playing in a NY6 bowl. It's the job of the staff to motivate them but these kids are not huddling together firing themselves up about winning out so they can finish in the top 10 and play in the Orange Bowl. For them it's an opportunity to showcase their abilities but knowing that there is no chance of winning the conference will limit their enthusiasm. Hope I'm wrong about that.

I don't know if bulletin board material works with our players, but I sure hope they are angry that they got passed by Iowa State and that the ACC gave ND a Disney FastPass to the ACC Championship game. Would be great to see them take some of that frustration out on the Dookies.

I'm actually psyched for this game. I don't think we can come out and ask our passing game to pick up right where it left off. Too long of a layoff. Call me crazy but I think we come out establishing the run all over Duke. Perfect to get rhythm back now that we've got health back @ Oline. Do they do it? Call me crazy, but I think they do.

King is out for covid. Perry throws 2 pick 6s in the first half. TVD leads the comeback as Wiggins makes a one-handed 46 yard grab with time expiring.

Fans care. I don’t think players truly care. I wouldn’t touch this line.

Duke always plays us tough and I don't see why Saturday night would be any different given the circumstances. Duke has had a miserable year but they will be prepared and fired up to knock off a top 10 team in primetime. I'm expecting a dog fight.

I think that this is the first year where many teams aren’t fired up and motivated bc a top 10 team is coming to town. Most teams with no shot at a conference title have quit. No fans, no girls to chase after the games... you see it all over the country.

I get Duke has given us problems and Cutcliffe is a good motivator, but our guys are 7-1 and still have an outside shot at the playoffs. If anyone is gonna be motivated, it’s UM.

Watching "highlights" of their last game against mighty GAtech.

Their defense made the Jackets QB look like a cross between Vince Young and Randall Cunningham.

There is no way that defense is going to slow down King. Don't know what people are smoking in here.
 
Yeah, we roll Duke IMO. They've played some bad football this year and commit a ton of TO's. Even with the ACC shenanigans I'd like to think the players would like to play UF or T a&m in the Orange Bowl. 300+ yrds rushing per game given up their last two games, we should be able to put up at least 200 and King will go off passing.
