Miami 15th in ap poll

I can't remember the posters name, but some guy made a thread saying we would be at 14th when the new poll came out. He caught a lot of chit for it, but turns out he was basically right. Looks like some people need to eat some crow.

There are a lot of very scared posters on this board. It's pathetic.

Very True. Especially The Franchick.

He's the least scared lol
Nevermind that bytch LeftOut. He's my latest stalker because I blew his cover.

Not for nothing but who did we beat?

Nobody. But we beat em real bad.

I'm aware.

I tend to agree, we haven't proved much of anything yet. That said, who has? Are there more than 14 teams that have proven they deserve to be in front of us? Maybe, but I don't think so.

The original comment was about UGA v. Miami. Who is talking about the rest of the teams?

What exactly has UGA done? They were in a death struggle with an FCS team that just beat Immaculate Conception by 7 points. And they should have lost to a horrific bottom dwelling Missouri team. They beat one decent team in a sloppy game.

Georgia tech plays Clemson thursday night, we'll see what there all about. Personally I think they get throttled. They beat a bunch of mediocre teams. Should be rolling into the big game 4-0 with lots momentum. By the way has anyone trolled that douche Tim Brewster on twitter for how well they looked over the weekend?

I am not saying that they have done anything special. I am just saying they beat 2 P5 teams and we beat none.

Missouri, UNC and Nichols > FAU, FAMU and App State

Their 3 opponents were more challenging, to some degree, than our 3 games.

So what? Rankings aren't about playing against one better team. They're about how you play in the games. UGA being in a death struggle with a weak FCS team should automatically put them out of the top 20. When they followed that up with a lucky win over a terrible Missouri team they should have fallen again.

Rankings do include who you beat and how you beat them. Obviously it is better to beat the chit out of an FCS team than win by a few. You're supposed to beat the chit out of those teams. Also, I agree with the Missouri stuff as well. They will be terrible and UGA squeaked one out on the road.

With that said, if UGA didn't beat UNC, I would say we have accomplished more than UGA (to this point). That game was the most difficult game out of all 6 of the opponents. I wouldn't say UGA accomplished much more than us to this point.

Me. I am. But since you want to focus, I think it's fair to assume (for now) that uga is slightly better than Miami based on strength of schedule. Look, it's an opinion thing: do narrow wins over average opponents outweigh stomping of inferior opponents? In this case voters say yes, and until we play some better teams I'm not sure their wrong.

Focus, that was the original comment.

FSU and ND are not as good as people expected. There is no team on our schedule we cant beat. Lets just take each game one at a time and do what we are supposed to do and we will end up with a chance for payback against either Clemson or Louisville in the ACC Championship.

True. Nobody left we can't beat. I wanted nole and ND ranked higher, but in the end, if THE U is undefeated, it is in the playoffs regardless. TV will demand it. No matter how many undefeated teams, TV rating will prevail. We can probably have a loss but win ACC and get in. Miami vs anyone in the playoffs is highest rank game of the year. The story lines would be great. UM v Bama -- third time against each other with title on line. -- battle for greatest program ever in play. OSU -- forget about it -- through the roof. What if the stupid gator gets in -- off the hook. We have real shot but will not know anything until after GT and FSU. Then the noise will begin.

Let all the ranked teams ahead of Miami knock each other off while Miami continues to feast on whatever sht team they face next. Miami should be embarrassed thus far by their pathetic schedule.

Another so called Miami fan

Seriously. Hardly anyone loads up on three tough teams to start the season. We played two in state schools that are bad, but it's good to play in state schools. We then did what no other P5 school would dare do and go play at App State. OK, so we all know that wasn't a big deal, but we were only a 3.5 favorite so they MUST be reasonably decent. (ok, so they weren't really). We go to ND, VT, and play FSU and NC at home. That's enough meat on the schedule to feed the ranking machine.

Dude, your team has played Umass, Kentucky, and North Texas. Shut your mouth.

No chance a 1 loss Miami gets in.

UGA is lucky to be undefeated, Id love to see a Um vs UGA bowl game, Richt would come out unleashing **** on his former team

I think we will be ranked 11-14 if we beat GT (barring upsets). I don't think we jump into the top 10 before playing FSU.

How do u know who loses in the next 2 weeks

I said barring any upsets... I don't know how FSU will respond vs USF. But I think we move down this week to 16 or stay put (due to BYE), and then a GT win puts us at 11-13

Theres like 5 games where top 15 teams play each other .its almost a given wegoing to be thetop 10 if we handle business againstg tech
If we beat GT, FSU, and UNC or ND easily well be Top 5

I'm sure a lot of people would love that matchup, and will try to make it happen. I'd like us to aim a little higher.

App St would beat Nichols
