The Miami Hurricanes are already through five games of the 2026-27 college football season. For ‘Canes fans, it has been a fun 5-0 start to the season.

The Hurricanes have been one of the most dominant teams in the country on both sides of the ball, leading the ACC in points per game (42.8) and opponent point per game (10.5).

After each game, Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades every player who takes a snap in each game. Now that we have reached the midpoint of the season, it is time to look at who has been earning top grades.

Wide receiver Malachi Toney has been the highest-graded player through five games with a 93.0 grade. Signal-caller Darian Mensah comes in behind Toney with a 92.5 grade. Freshman running back Javian Mallory has been really impressive this season with a 80.7 grade.

Defensive back Ethan O’Connor was the highest-graded player on defense with a 84.7 grade. Defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald (79.2) and defensive lineman Marquise Lightfoot (77.7) rounds out the top three.
