Miami’s Dylan Joyce Named to Ray Guy Award Great 8

Miami punter Dylan Joyce was named to the weekly Ray Guy Award “Ray’s 8” for his performance against USF, the Augusta Sports Council announced Monday.

Joyce, a junior from Kyabram, Australia, delivered three punts in Miami’s win over USF with an average of 45.6 yards per attempt. He placed two punts inside the 20-yard line, including one inside the 10.

His avg isnt even top 50 this year YET.. Even Mario commented we got to get more out of that position.. 43 yard punts probably got job done 20 years ago, kicking has gotten sooo good these kids be booming em

i wasnt sure if that a high avg or not
we rarely see the punter
its nice bc it wasnt too long ago when we would lose games due to feagles
and then we had years where our best player on the team was a punter
