Thoughts?
It will make for a great "The Warriors" remake.

A group of hard nose Miami students have to make their way back to Mahoney-Pearson by fighting their way through...

Also, they have a different use of the word "soon". They'll be lucky to put a shovel in the ground by 2024, and then expect each mile ro take 6-12 months to complete.

All aboard in 2030!

Are you dyslexic? I think you meant 3020 right?

You could offer free cocaine and an onboard Flanny's buffet and Miami still will never be a public transportation town.

It doesn't mean stuff like this doesn't help the dramatically undeserved that HAVE to rely on public transportation just to live life but you're never going to convince an adequate amount of the masses in this region to forego the comfort/routine of their cars (or even rideshares) to ride trains or busses. Maybe if you live within walking distance of the Brightline or something in Miami, Lauderdale or West Palm and you work within walking distance of the station in one of the other two cities but otherwise the car mentality is too ingrained here.

Miami is historically a car town, but only because of our urban planning since the 1950s. I think you're right that 90% of people will still continue to own cars for the foreseeable future, but if you make public transportation convenient, people will use it. Just look at Heat games -- traffic and parking are nightmarish, and thousands of people take Metrorail/Metromover/Brightline to those games. It's just WAY more convenient, even if you are parking at a station and taking the train in. The same will be true for the new soccer stadium and Hard Rock if this extension ever gets built. Getting people to use public transit for special events like these is key to changing their mindset and making public transit more of an option for other trips.

Your roads are a death-trap and your traffic is insane. Miami desperately needs better public transport.

ATL traffic sucks, but Atlanta United fans utilize public transportation (MARTA) a lot more than most. ⚽
Good for Miami IF they do this project in a timely manner. Good luck with that.

Why are you so hard on people? They deserve it.
