If he had stayed healthy at UM I think we would talk about Armstead in the same sort of discussions as Ray, Ed, Sean, and Jerome. He was pretty **** good anyway.

Just don't understand why we can't find LB's as fast as these guys were...If the d-line could not put the pressure on these guys, and esp Jesse, were flying around edges to make tackles in the backfield...If he had stayed healthy at UM I think we would talk about Armstead in the same sort of discussions as Ray, Ed, Sean, and Jerome. I don't kno Swag. It's hard to say but one thing no one can deny is he was one third of the best starting linebacker group in the history of Miami if not of college football period. Jesse, Mike and Darren all three at close to 4.4, all first round, and all lasted in the league.

There could be an LB starting group to top him and Barrow and Smith - but it hasn't happened yet and it's been 25 years....

Barrow went to the SB with NYG in 2000.....OJ Anderson, Jim Burt, Jesse Armstead, J Shockey, Beason, Rolle, Flowers, and attempts with Kenny Phillips, Adewale Ojomo, and Bruce Johnson. My Giants have quite the track record of Canes comin thru. And I'm sure I'm forgetting a few off the top of my head.
Jessie used his NFL money to invest in Honda dealerships. They did so well that he was recently named Black Entrepeneur of the Year for the Northeast region. He's probably one of the most successful Canes outside of football.
He also works in personnel for the Giants so he's still close to the game. He told me at the spring game that his favorite thing about Richt is that he doesn't use a million schemes. Just simple, sound football.
