Butch was at the least a talent evaluating football gawd. Can we all agree on that? I was never big on gameday Butch but when it came to talent evaluating and recruiting that talent, Butch was impressive.

Jimmy was a complete football gawwwd. Schnelly will always have my love for breaking the mold.

Butch left us because UM wanted to slow play his contract - when Butch thought it was a done deal - it was UM that screwed that up. Schnell left us. Jimmy left us. It happens.

Butch left Coker a team - the best college football team ever assembled. Terry Porter should be drawn and quartered.

Butch wasn't a good game day coach?

Neither is Richt, but I don't see anyone talking about that.
 
If we had saban here, and we lost a game, people would talk about he's not a great gameday coach.

Like i said, Butch was an elite evaluator of talent and great recruiter. I wasn't for or against him.

People do complain about Richt but they get slammed. I've done it. I don't like a bunch of decisions he's made and i fear his stubbornness but I'm trying to hold back and see what happens. I'm tired of pounding our coaches. It's become exhausting as a fan. I just want someone to do what they should do and see things that are sound and make sense.
 
CMR had the bad luck of having to beat two of the best Head coaches in CFB history --- hate them both but that is a fact

If you complain about Richt, you’d complain twice as much about Butch. Even with all the talent in the world he couldn’t win. If he was a decent coach we would’ve been the national championship game the year he left.

That’s the reason his nickname was Botch when he coached here. He kept botching it on the sidelines. His game day coaching was so bad, they flew banners even way back then.

I think in my first post in this thread i said i wasnt a fan of Butch's gameday coaching. I was a fan of his ability to evaluate and recruit talent.
 
Why would a Football God settle for coaching position at FIU??...snd not be a world beater coaching there?
