Both have played awesome this year. Mesidor has moved into another gear the last month or so.

I still believe Bain is the engine of this defense and makes so many plays for others with little things he does and attention he creates. First play of the game on VT offense was a huge run play that Bain blew up if the DB's even close to do their job. He ran down a screen from 15 yards away. He long-armed an OT and forced a RB back inside for a TFL by someone else.

I say again, Bain sets up so many others for success with his power, technique, and will. The grind of the season has slowed him down, but don't get it twisted, he's awesome.

Coaches never should have had him playing 75 snaps a game for the first 6 weeks.
 
Mesidor has been out playing Bain, but that doesn't mean Bain sucks. It's okay to say this. The draft won't change this season or their play either, it's a projection.

Teams are also planning for both, they're both being held, but Mesidor is handling it all better while doing more. Is one healthier than the other, only they can say. Is one in a better head space, feeling confident or frustrated, only they can say. Mesidor is feasting though and Bain is at the table.

The rest of the comments in this thread are laughable by and large. They're both Cane's, we all support them, but calling it like it is, that's fair.

That’s all I’ve been trying to say tbh. Regardless we need Bain to bring it this game and take over
 
Just to lay it out there.

Mesidor on field. In the stands. Eyeball test.

Has been playing big boy ball. In November.

Now mind you. Watch Bain end up winning the game for us on Saturday with Pitt. He is still that.

This. I know Bain refused to leave the field. But you gotta rotate to get through 13-16 games at peak performance.

We need him to get after the QB on Saturday. Bain pressures could be the difference in the game. Hopefully he's a little more rested up after the VT game which had fewer snaps and Cuse where I believe he was off the field in most of the 4th quarter.
