Makes for better betting value on Mensah for the Heisman. - I'd bet him now, consider selling the ticket just before ND if one wants to cash in a modest profit, or let it ride. One could just bet both him and Carr as those set up to be the 2 best values IMO.
 
I rather be rated initially lower than be rated in the top two.

The three top numbers will all have targets on their backs and for some teams against them - they'll play their hearts out.

Here's the real kicker - if you're expected to lose - you can play loose and fast as you have nothing to lose. Not saying you lack confidence - but compared to the top team - if things get close - how many times have we seen them "fold." Choke.

And many votes are cast to artificially raise some of their own opponents they really expect to beat.

I’m convinced analysts who create these rankings know nothing at all. He was statistically the best qb of all and not even close. With a worse supporting cast than most. It makes no sense at all. DJ Lagway was one of the worst qbs in all of college football.
 
Compared to last season Miami improved developmentally, competitive-depth wise & at QB.

I don't think people appreciate Mensah's mental make-up and ability to throw the deep ball.

I like Carson Beck a lot but the difference between a fully healthy Darian Mensah and a Carson Beck with a UCL that looks like a struck match is gonna blow people’s hair back when they see it.

I know **** all about QBs but I called Cam as a Heisman winner in February 2024. It didn’t take much. People were either not bothering to look or worried about weird stuff with him. You knew when he got around more talent he was gonna go nuclear

Mensah dominated basically playing give and go with Barkate. He fits in absurdly well with Dawsons approach. The plays he can make on the run or moving in the pocket are ridiculous

If he’s not in New York end of the year I’ll actually be very surprised

Randomly came across a Jason Whitlock post where he says Ward isnt a serious person or football player "because of his hair."
