It will be. He’s better. He’s Cam Ward with a slightly weaker arm but Beck’s accuracy and willingness to take what the defense gives you, but he can move similarly to Cam. He’s a perfect blend of both players. And he’s got much more talent around him than either of those guys did, plus a way better defense than Cam, so he really doesn’t need to press.

I watched a lot of this guy at Duke and then went this off-season and watched a ton of him at Tulane and more from last year in Durham. I hesitated to let my mouth say what my eyes and brain were telling me, but I will now. He’s going to be better than Cam. Every single ball is completely perfect. I don’t care who we’re playing, whether the receiver has half a step or 4 steps, the ball placement on every single throw is impeccable. He has four ******* incompletions!

I’m all in on this kid. He really is a point guard, with insane accuracy and knows the position front and back. Never rushed, never panicked, stands right in the pocket and just throws dime after dime after dime. Cam was sensational, I don’t think Mensah will produce as many transcendent plays. But he’s steadier. He’s more accurate. He’s fine taking 10 yards if that’s what’s there. This kid is the real deal and I’d be beyond beyond beyond shocked if he’s not a Heisman finalist, and if we beat ND, he’s gonna win it.
 
Typically the deep ball, if thrown, is the first option. This allows the QB to lock in, judge the speed and deliver where it needs to go. On the deep ball to Moore, he wasn’t the first option! Mali was the first read down in the flats. He was covered up. Mensah then looks downfield and unloads a ball that is so perfectly thrown that Moore never once breaks stride. That was a wow throw my friends. This guy is elite and special and now we know it after witnessing that play.

Mensah has way better weapons at his disposal. I don't think we've ever had a WR room like this. The 2000 group may have been better at the top with Santana, Reggie, and Andre. But this group is deeper with talent.

Gotta see how it looks against real teams, but he's got Cam's aggression with better deep-ball accuracy.

The differentiator could be OL, though.

The 2024 OL was a lot better. Hopefully this unit gels.

He’s way more accurate than beck, and cam was too. Not beck slander but it’s easier to seem more accurate when you’re conservative and turning down alot of easy throws for “safe” checkdowns

Beck played his *** off for us but his accuracy and decision making is not near cam or mensah. Id say cam arm talent is another level above mensah arm talent but i think mensah accuracy is clearly above cam accuracy. I think beck 100% healthy probably is 2nd in arm talent

Processing is super close, it’s too early to tell for the Miami tenure yet but based off pre miami i think cam has him slightly there but he had more responsibilities at previous spots than mensah had at duke/tulane so it’s tough to gauge so far

Its amazing we even have 3 recent NFL QBs to even have discussions like this lol
 
I think Mensah will be better but not because he’s more talented than Cam(he’s elite) but moreso because of the totality of the situation he’s in..he’s elite while having an embarrassment of riches at the skill positions that cam simply didn’t have
