That's never stopped NFL teams before, especially the ones that are always picking at the top. Especially if the player has "tools"

So they didn't learn from drafting guys like Carson Wentz and Trey Lance in the 1st round? The track record has been proven, non power 5 QB's rarely work out. But you are right, someone will be dumb enough to draft him that high.
 
There's a tough needle to thread here. Any QB coming out after this season wants to do as well as possible without looking like the best QB in the class....


Just so they don't end up being drafted by the Dolphins.

Mensah could be the obvious #1 pick, Heisman winner, god of Greentree, and the Dolphins would still **** that up and draft Julian Sayin.

Wentz was a 5 year senior who started 2 full seasons, TrumpyCane thinks thats a poor example, Wentz was also solid in the NFL, probably would've been better if not for his injuries

Mest is also going to be a 2 year starter, better examples would be Mitchell Trubsiksy, Mark Sanchez, Haskins, Mac jones, and like you pointed out Lance
 
Kiper is one of the worst draft analysts out there. Just having Baugh as a first-rounder is ridiculous. Just look at the past two games when faced with an actual defense. The same pretty much applies to last year as well.
