Mensah, Fletcher, Toney

When you have 3 returners on the DL like Moten, Scott, and Blount, you can run a 3/4 with Lightfoot more.
I'll give you Moten and Scott for sure. But Blount has got to improve drastically top him in a starting role. I doubt that happens over a transfer with experience. Good backup hopefully.

Far and away the best QB RB and WR in the ACC and we’ll be favored in every game that isn’t ND.

I’m not sold on us fixing the OL and DL to look even close to what we had this year but that trio gives you a chance at another Cam level offense

Way too early for this, especially in this era of players and coaches jumping around at any given time, IMO.

We had a devastating OL this year and #61 is an irreplaceable monster.

Maybe I’ll be wrong and again it’s the ACC DLs we are playing but I’m not 100% sold on this group yet. If they land a Seaton and LT is set that changes things but I just am not convinced the OL will be close to this year. DL wise if Moten goes you are placing all of your starters.
Cantwell man. The power in his hands is not human. He is going to annihilate people

You still need more than that. You desperately need a big body number 1 wr that demands attention that’s explosive and can run routes and run deep. If not they will crowd the box again. Vs great playoffs teams that’s not enough imo. Vs the acc yea that works but we want more than the acc
Moore, Wingo, and Parris are candidates for this spot and from some accounts Wingo is a problem

I guess bc we will be on the road VS ND but we will see how good a coach Freeman actually is without Love and Price.

Mensah is that important. Pay him whatever. The improvement on offense with him will far outweigh the drop off in a Hetherman led defense even without our elite D ends. I expect a top 15-20 defense and a top 10 offense next season. This would make us a contender imo

Based off projections TrumpyCane thinks Cantwell will be a bigger monster

I’m just excited to see him dominate. If he can move his feet, his power will be shocking. I don’t care where mirabal sticks him. I just want to believe he is plug and play like CiCi
Yea he’s day one on the field and dominating watch he’s special

we have a light schedule other thanND, but that’s not a conference game. Should run the table in the ACC and get a very good seed in the playoffs. Maybe we don’t get a murderers row in the playoffs this time. Feel like we have a good path to the natty again with a healthier team.

This notion of Toney is a #1 so we don't need a #1 is nonsense. Stack talent.

Bama had Devonta Smith and Jerry Jeudy. More recent, OSU had Jeremiah, Tate, and Egbuka last year.

I love Toney as much as the next guy, but if you don't think putting him alongside a bigger receiver who can bring down contested catches won't just make Toney more of a threat inside, I don't know what to tell you. Besides, he takes some big hits and plays fairly physically for his size. If you can avoid a little wear and tear, do it.

How quickly we forget Shannon had the #1 offense in the country a season ago. Yes, Cam Ward was different, but Mensah is absolutely more dynamic than Beck. We were limited by Beck's downfield limitations this year.
Cam’s ability to improvise saved Shannon’s ***. I still remember year 1 with TVD and Emory was a step forward but still not good enough by Miami standards. My problem with Shannon is he’s a stud when the offense stays on schedule, but when they don’t, he ***** himself. Sure it’s great to beat everyone running the ball all game but sometimes it bites us in the *** when we don’t play a clean game, which to win the ACC and make playoffs means basically a mistake free season which is so tough. I’d like for us to be able to be a threat to beat someone through the air, not including tunnel screens and 3rd down conversions.

Lastly, I know it’s not in Shannon’s DNA to be fiery and be on top of his players holding them accountable, but sometimes the drop off in discipline was noticable between 1s and 2s on offense.

Yes this is bashing Shannon a bit and im not one to call for him to be fired or anything but he’s got areas to clean up that frustrate me but sorry man im passionate abt my canes and even more ****ed after last night
