Memphis vs Tulsa

Memphis can't even get lined up before the play on defense...just like us. Pathetic! Great offense though so you have to give them that.

That is very big of you after some of the most ignorant porsts in the history of the interwebz.

Not saying Fuente is a horrible coach, just want a coach who will bring competent defense and a killer instinct. This guy doesn't seem to have either of these things. I don't want to settle again like last time.

This game has gone much differently than the Houston @ Tulsa matchup from a few weeks ago, even though the margin of victory will be pretty comparable if the current score holds up.

Houston beat Tulsa, 38-24, in a game where they led 38-17 with 2:00 left. Tulsa added a garbage time touchdown in the final minute to make the score appear more respectable on paper.

That is because you're retarded. You have no idea about Memphis. You have no idea what he accomplished. You don't know his pedigree or anything about him.

Even if you hate Memphis and Fuente, Tulsa did score 38 points at OU this year. They're coached by a pretty savvy offensive dude.

Even you are quoted as saying "We MUST get someone that is aggressive, energetic, smart, and knows how to do more with less."

Now google Memphis football.

It is what it is. Aren't these two winning EVERY week. At the end of the day, what more do you want?

Fuentes just interviewed post game...said he was not happy (they won by like 24) teams need to be more disciplined, etc etc.

If fat Al won by 24 he be beside himself.

14 straight, 8 of them on the road.

I suppose he should win EVERY game at Memphis because Memphis is ELITE and EVERYONE is INFERIOR.

Bro he has to shut out every team bro otherwise he's not Miami material bro.

We have so many potatoes in this fan base. Bring that man to Miami and watch us dominate for years

You didn't mention anything about chitting down the opponent's throat, I should neg you.

I'm a little worried about Herman and Fuente's defenses.

Houston's D has done pretty well.

Points Allowed: 21.3
Yards Allowed: 375.6

New coach, new system and all things considered, not that bad. Also, Houston has been doing pretty well against their competition. Against 3 opponents, when they held at least a 21 point lead going into the 4th Quarter, those teams scored 28 bullchit points when the game was already over.

As for Memphis, their D was pretty darn good last season. They had the 11th best Scoring D and 28th best Total D. They then lost their DC (to Missouri) and lost 8 starters on D. This isn't so easy to reload at Memphis.

I give Fuente credit, he assembles a good staff. He found the Safety coach at Missouri, never was a DC, the guy ended up doing a nice job as DC at Missouri. Now Odom is at Missouri, their D is the 6th best scoring D and 9th best total D.

Consigliere,

Good stuff. You seem to be very knowledgeable about Fuente. I know he is a Patterson disciple, that he has a track record of developing QBs and that his offenses are elite. What II really want to know is what exactly is his defensive philosophy? What style of defense did they play last year with the DC that left for Mizzou?

One thing I think needs to be reiterated regarding Fuente and Herman is that as long as you score more points than the opponent, you win.

I really don't think they're defenses would be bad at all at UM, especially considering how good SoFla athletes are.

Even if the defense sucks, look at Baylor and see what thyre' doing

Let the blood bath begin when Houston faces Memphis. Whoever wins, should be our 2nd option behind BUTCH MFN DAVIS!!!
