Memphis vs Tulsa

I know people love Fuente, but having the best QB in the nation in my opinion...Might get him to a big time program, I'm not sure I want him though. His D looks horrible everytime I watch them. Do love Herman though

I'm a little worried about Herman and Fuente's defenses.

Fuentes had a stout D before his coordinator took the Missouri job...

Fuente's offense is nice. The defense is very passive and looks zone heavy. I DO NOT want him because of that. That's Al's biggest problem: the soft *** zone defense! Bring back the Miami 4-3 or implement a more modern, spread oriented 4-2-5. We will never have the personnel for a 3-4, 3-3-5, 2-4-5, etc. I also hate defense that run multiple fronts because they are so complicated for the players to learn!

Houston's D has done pretty well.

Points Allowed: 21.3
Yards Allowed: 375.6

New coach, new system and all things considered, not that bad. Also, Houston has been doing pretty well against their competition. Against 3 opponents, when they held at least a 21 point lead going into the 4th Quarter, those teams scored 28 bullchit points when the game was already over.

As for Memphis, their D was pretty darn good last season. They had the 11th best Scoring D and 28th best Total D. They then lost their DC (to Missouri) and lost 8 starters on D. This isn't so easy to reload at Memphis.

I give Fuente credit, he assembles a good staff. He found the Safety coach at Missouri, never was a DC, the guy ended up doing a nice job as DC at Missouri. Now Odom is at Missouri, their D is the 6th best scoring D and 9th best total D.

This makes no sense.

Do you know anything about this QB? Do you know how many teams wanted him and offered him a scholarship? This QB was solely developed my Fuente. Nobody wanted him (FAMU had some interest) out of HS. Fuente signed and developed him. He is Fuente's creation. Fuente has a track record with QBs and offenses. You kno whow he developed at TCU...Andy Dalton.

Take a guess how many teams wanted this guy?

Fuentes keeps his foot on the gas.

Someone should explain to him what the purpose of the DEFENSE is. It isn't 11 guys sent out to give the offense a breather. If this game was Fuente's job interview, he FAILED. DO NOT WANT!

Yeah I was very high on Fuentes before tonight.

This defence is being shredded by Tulsa.

Temple's Total D. ranking in 2010, last year of Golden's tenure--> 8th. I think it wiser to look at the philosophy and the scheme and how it would fit with our personnel/recruiting base rather than looking at a number. But the point about finding good coaches is taken, all elite coaches seem to posses that trait.
