Seems like the better years were under Paul Pasqualoni… he was HC 91-04. Down hill after around that time.Good years for Cuse. I don’t know why they dropped off so far.

McNabb had 3 rushing TDs against us… Cade McNown wasn’t doing that. Amongst other things. The craziest 2 game stretch IMO in UM history. We give 60+ to Cuse, and then beat the #2 team in the country in a wild game. How Butch got UM ready after the Cuse game should be studied by scientists.
Yeah, they fell off big time in the early 2000's.Good years for Cuse. I don’t know why they dropped off so far.
WVU. Just feeling uncomfortable entire time (twice) batteries and fights in the stands
Watching the miracle return to win and the yanks beat the Braves in some total WVU bar and screaming for joy. Subsequently, bouncer said he could not guarantee our safety after pur outburst
Ran across some old College Football preseason magazines in the basement and it got me thinking back to the 1990's and early 2000's.
Canes won a lot - 81-16 in Big East conference games from 1991 through 2003 before leaving for the ACC,
But I never gave two flips about playing any of those schools with the two exceptions of VA Tech and WVU. The rest — Boston College, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse and Temple? Great big yawn. No hard feelings, but fine if we never saw them again.
Other than on-field success, any positives about Big East football I'm forgetting?
Oct 31st 1992. Miami vs WVU . Saturday a night. I was in college working for the Miami Herald. Won tickets through work. I remember seeing Rusty Madaris walking through concessions during 1/2 time in the OB surrounded by 2 asst coaches while he was on crutches and I nearly tackled him just to say : Hey , what’s up dude. He stopped of course and said a few words. Those games in the Orange Bowl were sick back then.Ran across some old College Football preseason magazines in the basement and it got me thinking back to the 1990's and early 2000's.

They’re in the same boat as Nebraska… playing football for Syracuse used to mean something once upon a timeYeah, they fell off big time in the early 2000's.
Hard to imagine the Syracuse ever returning to consistent Top 25 status as it was from the mid-80's to late 90's.
Not a lot of football talent in that region. Basketball rules the roost. Carrier Dome is old and tired. And of course the weather
A lot of obstacles for Fran Brown and whoever ends taking his place
