Donte' "Tae" Wright overview

Donte is an ELITE prospect.

What he excels at the most is his Speed-turn ability in coverage.

- Playing Press Man against the 9
- Has inside leverage to force the WR outside & play towards the sideline.
- Immediately sinks & opens to turn in & get in phase.
- While in phase, closes the distance while walling off the WR getting into his chest, this prevents the WR from being able to stack him, which is essential to running a proper 9 route.

It resulted in a route stoppage, which is not easy for most CB's on Deep routes. The reason you see so many Corners get beat, is...

Ai'King Hall overview

The primary thing that standout is his quick footwork.

- Playing in Off coverage Bail tech, you see his high level backpedal.

- He's watching eyes on the QB while also anticipating the WR's break. He's playing to Outside leverage while playing on top of the route to be able to close to either leverage side depending on the WR's break.

- He recognizes the Outside Dig route & uses the controversial T-Step break to recalibrate his feet, recover & drive back towards the ball. As the WR flattens his route towards the sideline, this gives the Corner time to recover & break...

This is a high-end prospect with very good upside.

The key with him will be weight; if he can comfortably hit the 225-230lbs range by the time he's a Sophomore, he's absolutely going to be in the starter role.

Definitely can play as a true Mike LB or Weakside. I'm guessing AJ Randle will likely be the primary OLB at Will, so Glover should be getting in the rotation at Mike, depending on if we sign another LB this class.

But if he can add good weight & strength, he looks like a 3 year starter to me.
